If you don't see your Model listed which was the case for me Click on Instant Chat. I got a live human being. I told her my Model Number was GWTN156-5BL and she said that the drivers are the same as GWTN156-2. I also had to give her my serial number.
Lastly I asked about the SSD slots, and here's the response I got.
Main slot is PCIe/SATA with a max drive of 256
Secondary slot is SATA with a max drive of 256
For a max total of 512
Please post your, if you were able to stuff a bigger drive into either slot.
Good Luck

I've had the blue one for about a month or so and I like it very much. The track pad is garbage, otherwise I don't have much to complain about. Oh, the power button is where "delete" goes so expect to punk yourself a few times.
I like the feel of it, the metal feeling lid helps it not feel super cheap.
I use it for prepping 3d models for my printer, and it's very good at what I ask it to do.
BTW it does charge via USB c despite it saying data only.
It's not for gaming.. 350$ not 700$ ryzen 5 16gb NOT A BAD PRICE if you don't want one move on. If they don't like it I'm sure there is a return option. Most people that want to play game buy PS5 ,Xbox Series X,Switch, GAMING laptop/Desktop RTX 3070
This is true, however I would like to see the emulation performance on this machine, with GameCube, PSP, and Dreamcast!
Not in need of any laptop at the moment. Came here just for the comments, expecting to get a laugh from the people asking for premium features from a $349 notebook. Not disappointed at all. Thank you very much, SlickDeals community!
This isn't Acer brand, nor built by Acer. It's manufactured by a Chinese ODM and slapped Gateway stickers.
Acer, which acquired Gateway in 2007, is bringing back the brand to sell consumer-focused laptops in the US. The products will be sold exclusively through Walmart. https://www.pcmag.com/news/the-ga...ew-laptops
I got this one in December and have been using it as my primary work computer for about a month. So far it works great - supports 2 external monitors and my bad habit of always having 20-30 tabs open. Both the usb c and hdmi connections feel a little loose and it did get stuck in a self repair mode after the latest update but I was able to get it back up and running relatively easily.

Not sure if anything's changed since last I checked, but I believe that there are only a very small few major laptop ODM's (original design manufacturer) in the world, clevo , quanta, compal, all of which are in Taiwan. When you're buying any of these new laptop models with almost identical specs from Dell, Alienware, HP, Lenovo, Acer, asus, hp, gigabyte, aorus, etc) what you actually getting is just the same exact laptop from one of these Taiwan ODM's with a different sticker on it. Each may vary the ssd or ram slightly (since they are the only swappable components) but other than that they are quite literally 100% identical. None of these branded companies that you buy from actually make any laptops at all themselves. So when it comes to purchasing one and can't figure out who to buy it from, best choice is probably to stick with the one that has the best warranty (if that varies) or best customer service.
The Gateway green and purple versions of this laptop are out of stock at Walmart. Blue and black are still available. My order for a green version was canceled when I checked the order this morning. I was surprised purple was so popular but then, maybe there were not that many of this purple item to begin with, compared to black.

I have not bought an acer for ages but when did buy them in early 2000 it was the lowest quality.
I would pick HP or Lenovo anytime but very difficult to get at this price point
