Alright folks, as requested I created a video with a step-by-step to replace the front fan and repaste the RTX 3080 GPU. The temps in my machine decreased from 110 degree memory junction down to 76 degrees following these relatively simple mods. Not too bad.

You and everyone else. Everyone coming to slickdeals and posting these 3080 deals from dell don't understand that they will not actually ship.

I've done it twice now. Both times they delayed my shipment every month. My first order took 5 months of delays before they finally cancelled and gave me a crappy 10% coupon that expires in June. Everyone on reddit knows not to bother posting these dell builds because dell doesn't ship. They simply take your payment information, add you to their mailer list, sell your information to other companies, cancel your order and enjoy the profits of their farmed mailer list of people who want the latest technology.

Dell is trash tier right now, hell I'd even trust Newegg over Dell when it comes to 3080 products, and that's embarrassing to say.

I only ordered 8GB of RAM. I will most likely toss it or resell. RAM prices seem to be expensive.at the moment. Does this PC only use Hyper Fury or can you use any RAM that is 3200MHz DDR4 CL15 ? TIA

can't seem to get the 10% code, tried 3 email addresses, over 2 hours ago. Guess i won't be ordering tonight...

edit: code finally came. Base model with 6800xt, $1466.76.

The extra $400 for 3080 was tempting but it would take 4-5 months of mining to make up the difference and who knows where mining will be by then, in addition to extra $$ and time for thermal pads. Plus, I'm hoping being the minority to order 6800xt will mean it'll actually ship on time so the Amex offer can trigger before end of April.

The price of the $1915 build appears to be around $1935 now as an earlier poster mentioned. Well guys, for those who have credit cards with additional warranty, you can get premium 3 years + 3 year accidental for $2050. Not that you will spill something on your pc or drop it, but some might find the peace of mind helpful, I certainly felt it would be a good idea considering the Dells in the past all crapped out around 3.5-4 year mark if it did.
