Alright folks, as requested I created a video with a step-by-step to replace the front fan and repaste the RTX 3080 GPU. The temps in my machine decreased from 110 degree memory junction down to 76 degrees following these relatively simple mods. Not too bad.

You and everyone else. Everyone coming to slickdeals and posting these 3080 deals from dell don't understand that they will not actually ship.

I've done it twice now. Both times they delayed my shipment every month. My first order took 5 months of delays before they finally cancelled and gave me a crappy 10% coupon that expires in June. Everyone on reddit knows not to bother posting these dell builds because dell doesn't ship. They simply take your payment information, add you to their mailer list, sell your information to other companies, cancel your order and enjoy the profits of their farmed mailer list of people who want the latest technology.

Dell is trash tier right now, hell I'd even trust Newegg over Dell when it comes to 3080 products, and that's embarrassing to say.

Dell CSR won't match a purchase id without the name and address. Kinda suck but that's how it is... Can't get better price since the CSR claim other quote has Dell Finance that is why $100 cheaper. I am sure he can get further down but won't do so. This is my final config.

Maybe not, but other people have paid me to purchase them. Sold four 3080s and got four free 5600x, 8gb 3200 sticks of ram, 1000psu and the mobo/case. Family took the prebuilts and I put one 5600x into my own motherboard and sold empty prebuilt for another $300 in my pocket. Thanks for not adding any reseller competition!

I had another order that was i7 11700F with 3080, 16gb ram, 512gb M.2, Dark Liquid Cooling 1000W, 1 year warranty onsite, and Killer(TM) Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 for $2049.99 before tax. It is hard to tell with your price just because tax is different. Either way, I got it more expensive consistently. That's sad.... I settled in i9 11900KF with 3080, intel wi-fi 6 and minimum other stuff since cheaper to upgrade myself. Still expensive if you ask me. I can always cancel it if I can get cheaper quote.

These CSRs ask way too many unrelated questions, and are taking way too long to build a simple quote. Literally been 30 minutes in chat, and he has asked me what I want this desktop for (gaming duh), what games I'm going to play, how long I'm going to keep it. Jeeeesus, cut the crap and give me the price already.

I was able to get through the whole thing, and get the order off. ETA 4/18/21 same specs as the ones someone else posted. If this ships, it'll be a pretty good deal. Fingers crossed. Not sure who marked it expired, but it's not expired at all.
