Alright folks, as requested I created a video with a step-by-step to replace the front fan and repaste the RTX 3080 GPU. The temps in my machine decreased from 110 degree memory junction down to 76 degrees following these relatively simple mods. Not too bad.

You and everyone else. Everyone coming to slickdeals and posting these 3080 deals from dell don't understand that they will not actually ship.

I've done it twice now. Both times they delayed my shipment every month. My first order took 5 months of delays before they finally cancelled and gave me a crappy 10% coupon that expires in June. Everyone on reddit knows not to bother posting these dell builds because dell doesn't ship. They simply take your payment information, add you to their mailer list, sell your information to other companies, cancel your order and enjoy the profits of their farmed mailer list of people who want the latest technology.

Dell is trash tier right now, hell I'd even trust Newegg over Dell when it comes to 3080 products, and that's embarrassing to say.

That is definitely a bummer and does not seem fair. A couple questions,
1. Did you happen to choose that warranty glitch or was it a normal warranty election?
2. Did you use Dell chat so that a specific salesperson was assigned to the order?

As FYI comparison and without attempting to gloat, an order with normal warranty and a dell salesperson chat from the 20th and with dell preferred arrived to FedEx in El Paso tonight and is being delivered for Wednesday. Credit card charged fully on apr 10.

I just looked at the invoice and it does not mention the warranty, I was able to remove it from my mobile device, but my price still wasn't as good as some here. My final price was 1948.49 + tax + shipping. I had the 11700f processor, 8GB RAM, the upgraded WiFi, and both keyboard and mouse, water cooler, dark case and 256GB NVME. I did not talk to a salesperson to make my order. I did use the 50 off $699 and 10% email code.
They must fulfill these orders regionally else it makes no sense why people ordering later would get them earlier — especially since I paid $25 extra for expedited shipping.

Congrats on your order already arriving. I'm not mad. Not your fault. Enjoy it!

was your estimated arrival date before April 14th? Maybe there is something automated when the actual is after the estimated. In our fortunate case, the estimated was April 19th.
hopefully it will just be a temporary processing delay and you get the unit within the week.

Correct, my estimated shipping date is today and arrival date is on April 14th.
Since it went into production yesterday, it generally take 2 days to finish production, so it might just be an auto email giving the worst case 2 months delay. But in reality it is just a temporary few days delay.
