I'm not a youtuber, simply created this video for your benefit to maximize the performance of the unit. Here is a link:

"Dell Aurora R12 RTX 3080 Repaste and Fan optimization - Easy 30 degree temp difference fix!"
Enjoy.
I've done it twice now. Both times they delayed my shipment every month. My first order took 5 months of delays before they finally cancelled and gave me a crappy 10% coupon that expires in June. Everyone on reddit knows not to bother posting these dell builds because dell doesn't ship. They simply take your payment information, add you to their mailer list, sell your information to other companies, cancel your order and enjoy the profits of their farmed mailer list of people who want the latest technology.
Dell is trash tier right now, hell I'd even trust Newegg over Dell when it comes to 3080 products, and that's embarrassing to say.
https://www.ign.com/articles/dell...-hot-price <- IGN did an article on this already. It was full of $1500 3080 builds and links.
Trust me, these guys aren't shipping. Feel free to reply here with a picture of it actually arriving if you think you can prove me wrong.

I can reach in and touch the actual computer, this was just wide open (see attachment)
Don't worry you will get it shipped in a day or two.
I pulled this from the Alienware case and placed into a PC using a much better airflow designed case (Corsair 5000d Airflow). I feel like with the Alienware case you definitely need to leave the side off since it is so cramped.
Hash went to 98 MH and temperature on memory junction is 88 C now (was 110 C and throttling prior).
Core Clock: -129
Memory Clock: +1142
Power Limit: 80%
Fan is at 80% but I am going to tweak the settings here.

Your call, but it might save some time and frustration trying to jerk around with pads when just paste might do fine.

For benchmarking purposes:
Nicehash:
Daggerhasimoto: 95.84MH/s stable
Temp: 43C
Vram temp: 96C
Settings on Medium
Choosing Nicehash since its simple and no need to play around with settings.
After putting thermal paste at the spots that have been discussed:
Daggerhasimoto: 100.1MH/s stable
Temp: 52C
Vram: 90C
Setting on High
and notably quieter
when i first tested it, it wasnt as stable, but after an hour or two, it became stable.
Both with side panel off.
