Can buy 80v greenworks stuff. I have their backpack blower. Little mod and kobalt batteries work fine.

This. And I can swap into other machines, it's quieter, no messing with carbs and old gas, no oil changes, it's just cool, can power an inverter for portable power... Etc etc

If you want this, I'd grab it now. I bought this back in October, and I haven't seen it come back in stock since. This is a great price, too. I just checked and I paid $200 for the bare tool.

Is Lowes's discontinuing the 80V Kobalt line? Plenty of new Kobalt 40V tools in their home and garden section in my area, not a single 80V was being carrier or stocked in the store

It's not in stores and was replaced by the ego line. This is actually decent deal if you are already invested in the 80v line and need an edger.

If I could find one close I'd probably get one just for the battery and charge. LOVE the string trimmer.

Ugh. I'm already in for 80v blower for dad. Then I picked up the blower string trimmer combo on clearance. Then I picked up the chain saw on clearance. Now all in for the additional trimmer.

sucks that lowes is dropping the kobalt 80v tools.

I personally prefer the blue than the red craftsman especially since there was a decade were craftsman sucked.

That 10% military discount and using those Newegg giftcards soften the blow.

you missed the best product of their 80v line - mower. The blower is also not bad, and the snow thrower pretty nice for up to 10 inch snow.
