I just find deals and buy at that time. I have an Ego mower, Craftsman blower and trimmer and now a Kobalt edger. All battery operated and I really like every one of them.
I went ahead and ordered. Should be much better then flipping the weed eater or using the corded black and decker.

I have Ryobi for most of my power tools and moved to greenworks 60v with all the clearance sales. Now I can add one of these to the list. I usually like to have a second battery, but at least this one has a 3 year warranty.

Hmm, only 80v. Quite low compared to 765kv power lines.

Seriously though, isn't 80v bit dangerous voltage, you can surely get zapped from it. Though I'm sure that the tools have appropriate safety.
Zapped? Lol

Dang! I'm heavily invested in the 80v line. No brainer to pick this up. Maybe they'll start clearing out the rest of their 80v tools. I'll grab 'em all.

I know you have to modify if you want to use Kobalt batteries in a Greenworks tool, but if you already have Greenworks batteries, do you have to modify anything to fit in the Kobalt?

Went ahead and ordered this. Got the 80v self propelled mower last summer and also the 80v weed eater/blower combo that was a SD last year. Only corded thing I had left was the edger and was a hassle to unwind and wind the cord every time. Also +1 to the above poster who mentioned fastcoupons, that worked great.

I am still kicking myself for not getting the 80V blower/combo set in July 2020 for $159:

https://slickdeals.net/f/14201438-kobalt-2-piece-80-volt-cordless-power-equipment-combo-kit-159

Or the $99 blower on clearance at my local Lowes later in 2020..

The box on the blower/trimmer combo states 5yr tool/ 3yr battery limited guarantee.

I'm so invested I considered the add on warranty.

Thanks OP, they were selling just the edger a few weeks ago for their spring sale for $180. I hope these are not a mistake and get cancelled!

Where to get the $20 coupon. That would make this deal sweeter.

TU, it worked and I used a 20% off coupon from (fastcoupons01.info/20off100/) as previously mentioned. Now I think I have the entire collection, mower, blower, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, and edger and plenty of batteries. All purchased on clearance sales.

I have one of these that I bought with the blower. It's awesome. I can usually trim and blow my 3 patches of grass (~20x20') 4-5 times before I even need to recharge the battery. Only downside is the trimmer is weirdly balanced with the battery so it can get kinda heavy trying to balance it depending on the work you're doing with it. Not really a big deal though unless you're trimming a lot.
