Bestbuy will match the price? Thanks
Probably not unless you have a physical BH nearby, but doesn't hurt to ask if you're actually interested. This BH deal is temporary and will expire in around 10 hours.

Is the gaming that bad on it? I just ordered 75 900H but have been considering smaller oled
Response time is slower. I have a Samsung Q6FN from 2018 that has VRR and 4K 60fps at 15ms and 15 vs 18 makes a huge difference.

I personally do not like the Sony 900H at all and would consider the 950 a much better tv.

Sony A8H has the best image quality I've ever seen within this price range, but gaming response has a lg even in game mode that I simply cannot recommend.

No hdmi 2.1 kills it for me. TV is already obsolete tech wise unless you're only using it to watch movies.
Thing is two years ago 2.1 was not an issue. And technology improvements are not things you can ever get ahead of. Mostly because all manufacturers (TV, console, pc, media, etc) want you to buy the latest and greatest now. And then buy again -later when there is an improvement you want. And there will ALWAYS be an improvement you will want. No winning - unless you have an unlimited budget.

(Look at VHS/BETA, CD, laserdisc, DVD, BluRay, etc)

Best thing is to enjoy what you buy for as long as you can and accept something better will always come along.

Well 2 years ago - next gen consoles didn't come out. That's the major thing. I get your conceptual point - but this was the year those next gens came out

Both are good TVs. But are you looking for size or superior quality? Oled cannot be matched. And do you game or not?
Mainly movies, streaming, and sports. I've been projecting a 75" pic onto my wall for a bit and though I know this TV will offer superior pic quality, just wonder if I'm gonna miss the size if I go down to 65".

Depends on the manager you get in Costco. Normally it's 30 days which doesn't make sense since You have 90 days to return tv. But if you buy online they're making some exceptions now due to Covid 19.
Will Costco or Best Buy match this based on it being a voucher that brings the price down?

wtf mate. I literally returned my Best Buy one that I purchased for $2,499 because I bought the $1,998 one from Amazon LAST WEEK.

I hope Amazon drops it to $1,798 ALSO so I can ask for a price reduction.

Well Costco doesn't sell this model and they don't price match anyone but Costco.
Best Buy you have to talk to and see what manager you get to. Geek squad is only one who covers burn in if you are concerned about that.

Thanks, I use LG oled and 900F as my main sets. This would be for mancave for gaming/movies to replace a Vizio P. Only Samsung I've had is a frame but only really use it for art. No DV always bothered me.
The Sony 950 will not get VRR or 4k120 which I know is an issue now but it seems like it's coming.
Kinda tough thinking whether to splurge or go cheaper this time around.

What about the Q80T?

Depends on the size of the room and how much you weigh the color performance.

I bought x900h 75 inch last BF. Wife and me immediately noticed the low color quality. We don't have any TV before but using high end 4K monitors (32 and 27 inch) watching TVs and movies.

We got disappointed by x900h, even 75 is quite large.

Picked up the current 65 A8H and can immediately say it's black and white difference. It's small but satisfying our daily watching.

Interestingly, I bought a Hisense H6510 55 for my bedroom while the color is "not that bad" from my wife, even "better than the x900h Sony". This only cost me $299 from BB. The catch on this one is the laggy UI and lack of AirPlay ability.

I used to be sensitive to the specs on elec hardwares but for TV I just play videos and shows we watch everyday and let wife say which TV looks good.

PS: I never play games and have my consoles (PS4, XBox One, a PC equipped with old Nvidia 1080) boxed for years so don't care about adapters or future-proof techs.
The Sony 900H had terrible color? Weird because most reviews put it as having good accurate colors out of the box before calibration. They don't use quantum dot but have a very similar proprietary method they've been using for years. 75 LED or 65 OLED is something I've been having a tough time deciding between.

Me too, was hoping this tv was hdmi 2.1 when I clicked on the thread. I just bought a next gen video game console, would not make sense for me not to get a next gen tv (2.1 hdmi).
What will you be using hdmi 2.1 for except for some games?

Amazon doesn't do price adjustments anymore, it's been changed in their policy for a while now.

Yea I guess they're too big now. I hate the customer service you get with Amazon.
