The A80J is priced between the C1 and G1, if recent price leaks are accurate. Completely reasonable pricing.
Because Sony has better processing, upscaling and motion, and some people care more about that than they do about gaming features. This shouldn't be that hard to wrap your brain around. Sony and LG OLEDs are good displays with different strengths and weaknesses. LG's SoC and gaming features are better. That doesn't make them better overall TVs. Some people don't even play games, as I assume you know.
Good for you.

I randomly picked YouTube videos (most are 1080p though) since YouTube is the main source of stream on my daily life.
Wife and I immediately noticed the "too white/bright" issue on people faces and some colors like "grass" is "too green" but like fake, the "red curtains in the stage" going not "red enough" but "dark blood red", etc.
I think maybe it's caused by the monitor we are using, U3219Q which already sets the color quality bar pretty high.
It's definitely a downgrade when comparing to U3219Q so there is no reason for us to keep the x900h given the price (1500ish I think).
While the a8h is providing significant better color quality. I put x900h and a8h side by side to make sure "Sony at this price can provide the quality comparing to U3219Q", otherwise I'd return both and buy a cheap Hisense or TCL under $500.
Luckily A8H meets the expectation and goes beyond.

The Sony 950 will not get VRR or 4k120 which I know is an issue now but it seems like it's coming.
Kinda tough thinking whether to splurge or go cheaper this time around.
What about the Q80T?
Disney plus supports the format and of course regular hdr 10. I repeat you are not missing anything by not having Dolby Vision.
Now if using in a man cave and not gaming then the Sony A8H is a significantly better viewing image and tv than any of the Samsung's (I own both) ONLY reason to go with Samsung Q80t is happy medium with excellent gaming performance.
