Not the cheapest. It was $14.99 a few weeks ago.
Not sure what you are smoking but you are definitely giving out false information. There are plenty of wireless bluetooth audio devices that do not lag.
If you can find them on sale these are not too bad:

I haven't tried using them with an adapter like this one but using them with my phone I'm really happy for the price( <$20 on sale)

I have one of these type of adapters and tried using it with my galaxy buds to play but there was noticeable audio lag. Anyone know a pair of cheap decent headphones that don't lag with this?

I connected my Jabra 65t earbuds and can hear audio when docked but the mic doesn't work. Anyone know if there's a way to get the mic working? Not sure if it's my earbuds or what.

I'm pretty sure these are audio transmitters only and don't have mic functionality

Same question as others. How do these compare to the other ones. Mine is pretty good but the pairing process is annoying

I don't think we have the tech yet for wireless (bluetooth) headphones that don't lag. That's why you can't find a decent solution for wireless TV watching either.
Surprisingly the normally laggy AirPods (and Pro's) are phenomenal **when used with Apple TV**. They do some sort of fancy latency estimation to scoot the audio "ahead" of the video being show the correct amount so it sounds like there is no lag. Pretty clever in my opinion.

EDIT: A much more technical explanation of it - https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/301233/do-the-apple-airpods-have-audio-delay-due-to-bluetooth#301239

Device is a transmitter, which means it transmits audio, it is not capable of receiving audio which is what you need for a mic to work.

I'm surprised to see people having lag with aptx transmitter. Maybe I got lucky but I use a Bose qc35 as headphone and using a aptx BT transmitter from Amazon, it was like $50 though. No lag at all and long range. Only thing is once in a while sound will cut off for a second. Other than that it's perfect
