I bought this monitor the last time it was $400.

Replaced my 27" Korean IPS monitor that I got back in 2012. Honestly, I don't notice much of a difference between the 60hz and 100hz, might just be a problem with my eyes though.

Sitting in front of it the picture looks great, colors seem to be good but when I'm approaching my desk from the side I can see there's definitely back light bleed from the top.

Like I said, not noticeable sitting in front of it but could be an issue for some people.

Did you try to exchange for a new one for the backlight bleed? I was waiting for the Acer 34" to drop to $349. But this seems a good monitor too. No gaming and will be using it for WFH.

No I didn't. Too much hassle to try and box it back up and take it to Costco. Everything else was "good enough" so that didn't seem to warrant a return for me. I use a black background so it's only noticeable when I'm off center. When I'm sitting in front of the monitor I don't notice it at all.

My main complaints (which aren't really complaints): I'd prefer a tighter curve and probably higher refresh rate. I know I mentioned I can't tell the difference between the 60hz and 100hz and I wonder if I had gone with 144hz if maybe I would have noticed. It seems possible to sometimes get a 144hz for similar price but I was tired of waiting. Tighter curve would have been nice to fit better in my monitor mount but some curve is better than no curve.

Advice needed please. Homeschool and light gaming. Which monitor? This one or Costco Samsung $280?
Thank you!
