I have that impact and the brushless version of the pocket driver in my tool backpack and carry them daily along with 4 batteries and the USB power source to recharge my phone. The impact has more than enough power to drive 5/8 paddle bits through hundred year old joists in homes to run romex. The pocket driver works well and I've used it to install drywall with a specific 1/4 drywall bit. I have 18v Hitachi / Metabo tools in the truck if and when needed, but find that to be very rare with these. I would like to purchase the older PS50 multitool that doesn't require the starlock blades to throw in my bag as well. A great daily carry.

My bosch 12 v tools are my first choice for most work around the house. This is a no brainer for the first time home owner.

For full disclosure, I do have an extensive collection of Milwaukee M18 tools that I really like, but they are larger and heavier. I use them for more serious work.

Great set. I have the drill/driver, two of the impact drivers, two of the FL12 worklights, three chargers and eight batteries I've collected over the years. No issues whatsoever and plenty of power for most jobs.

Lighter , More powerful and last longer as per what I've read. It might be marketing propaganda too but if I'm getting the 12V I'll probably get the brushless ones

Being a very rare commenter, I saw this set and had to. I got these at the same time as a Makita set a few years ago. Acknowledgement here that they may be slightly different models, but I don't think so at cursory glance. Anyway, I absolutely love these. Granted, the Makita 18v have more power, but hanging drywall, driving through soft (not old growth or hardwood) wood, and so on, I grab these almost every time.
The one major-ish drawback is completely ridiculous. I occasionally find it inconvenient that I have to use a hex drill bit on the drill, and that loading it, you have to pull on the collar. The Makita is designed that you put pretty much any driver bit in, and it accepts it. May not lock if the detents aren't on the bit, but it'll go in. Maybe it's a safety thing, but you can't just slip a bit into the Bosch ones, at least this model. So, I keep a black Friday set of Milwaukie drill bits handy.
Pro (absolutely not pro) tip: just get a 6 inch impact bit for the driver. You'll almost never take it off for daily around the house things, and be so happy for the hand guidance on those screws that keep tipping as you try to start them. Pilot holes? Pshaw.
Okay, part of this was in fun, but I seriously love this set. I'll even post goofy pics if I sound too much like a hired goon.
Addendum: the lights. On the Makitas, the lights turn on before the motor, and stay on for a short period after; it's probably in the manual. On the Bosch, you have to pull the trigger just enough to get a high-pitched sound from the motor in to get the lights on, then they turn off immediately. There's a sweet spot, but it's certainly not a "feature". Another reason the long driver is great I guess, since you can take more time to loom from farther away.
Wow. Rant over?

I only use 12v tools for serious diy projects like building deck since they are light weight, won't hurt my wrists after a whole afternoon's work. For small projects, I just grab my makita 18v, makita's ergonomics is better.

Like mine from last year quite well. Did get it a little cheaper though, with similar price and $20 off $100 or more of Bosch products.

I have mostly Bosch stuff including 18v hammer drill and "freak" driver but I use my 12v drill most. The 12v driver is pretty useless, loud and slow so I'd recommend just getting the single tool 12v drill and not this set.
This was the first impact driver I've owned and while it did seem loud, I didn't mind it. Especially with nothing to compare it too. It certainly wasn't useless for me. Made short work of a bunch of lag screws I had to use in a project that were a bit much for a regular driver.

Have this set. I'd recommend just getting impact driver only. If you can find it cheaper by itself. The drill is underpowered. I also have the reciprocating saw and that's underpowered too. The impact driver is good enough for most light work and I use it over my beefier tools all the time due to how light it is. Highly recommend the impact driver.

Can second this. Got an older version four years ago, and they're my go-to for any regular job. I have a 20v max DeWalt brushless for bigger jobs, but these probably see more day to day use.
I am curious, what can you do with 20v that you CANNOT do with a 12v ?

I am NOT bashing, just asking for clarification.
/thanks

Does "brushed" have a certain life expectancy compared to "non" ?
