I did a similar deal 6 weeks ago, and the SIM was for the T-Mobile network.
The handset I use is not 5g (Pixel 3a), but I believe if you have a 5g handset compatible with T-Mobile's network that you are good.

You can drag out the process for 60 days or more. Once you redeem the Stacksocial code and order a SIM from Tello, you will have another 30 days to activate the SIM (possibly longer). The way Tello works is that they assign you a temporary number -- you cannot port until after your SIM is activated. In another thread, someone activated on day 32 or so. You could stretch the timing even a little longer by activating the temporary number, then porting a couple weeks later, but your 6 month plan would start when you activate the SIM, so you would have two active plans for awhile.

if i have mint thru 5/15, can i get this tello deal right now and activate it in 30 days and just discard my remaining mint days? would that work? or does my mint have to expire before using this tello deal since i want to port in my old #?
