That being said, you have no earthly idea on why this is different than a 10 dollar dryer, why try and feel special about it?
Do you also feel compelled to comment when an extremely overpriced piece of technology triggers an SD alert or is it only girl stuff that makes you "REeEee"?
You just mentioned that you need a "disposable income" to buy this, again, you're completely biased because this advertised to women. If you don't think buying a Pixel is somehow a necessity is hilarious. There are lower tier smart phones that can take pictures, except you want this phone because it has a piece of technology that's useful to you.
Do you know if anyone is a hairdresser in here? Do you know if anyone has damaged hair? Thin and curly hair? They'll obviously need an item like this more than you.
Beyond that, where are you buying 200 dollar Xbox Xs, Ps5s, and the newest technologies for that price? This isn't old or outdated, the only time a system, phone, TV, or any technologic item goes on sale is when a new item is there to replace it. That seems like a ridiculous stretch to make a bad point.
Ugh I'm about to buy one.

Hold it a couple of inches further away = cooler. Hold it closer to scalp = hotter. What's the problem?
Also Dyson products do not last anywhere near 10yrs. Speaking from experience, 3 vacuum cleaners died within 3-5 yrs each. Thank god for that Costco return policy!
Code does not work even with a new account.

The problem is: the temperature precision that humans are capable of feeling and the exact temperature where (most people's) hair begins to be damaged do not play nicely. I'd rather rely on the Dyson's proper temp gauge that's measuring and controlling a good temp 40 times a second.
The Dyson on the other hand... Think of this dryer as almost like an air compressor with heat, it's not as concentrated with PSI but you get the point. It really blows if you don't put any of the attachments on. The water beads on your body simply fly away. Your hair will straighten at the roots and make balding spots full of volume. This is definitely worth more than those volumizing shampoos because it actually has results. I never knew that the hair on the sides of my temple could also go perpendicular to my head. I also wash my body and hair with LAVA soap so I'm a little maniacal. Hey, less oil, less laundry right? My wife likes the speed setting on low to medium.
My refurbished unit had shiny glue on the main crevice which was noticeable. It also had some worn areas of soft-touch paint. Other than that, there's nothing wrong and Dyson warrants it. If you're seriously sitting on the fence, I recommend coming over to where the grass is greener. Dyson makes great products and this is no exception.
Tip: I usually like holding down the cool button (pause heat) for a few seconds before I turn it off. I think it'll keep the electronics nice and cool before you put it away.
I'm a guy and a tech nerd.

First you have to get the pop up saying "10% off with new account signup" and put your new email in that box. It won't work if you just create a new account without that box.
Marketing/branding at its best.
Was looking at this for my wife and then saw it was Newegg. I've had the WORST experience with Newegg and even the remote possibility of having to deal with their customer service which is incentivized to deny refunds/returns makes this a hard pass for me.
