Honest question - is this to feel like you're outside while being inside? I'm not meaning to crap on it but wondering what the intended purpose is for those spending the money on it...

I could imagine using it for stargazing at night without being eaten alive by mosquitos. The same for sleeping under the stars.

This sounds ideal. Until you meat the thug mosquitos we have here in rice country. I'm pretty sure they pick door locks and will key your car if you cross them.

Paraphrasing Family guy: They bite you so bad that you gonna wish they not bite you so bad.

Wouldn't it be better to have a mesh screen to gaze at the stars? How long before the plastic gets hazy or yellows?

I bet this provides a bunch of warmth retention for those in colder climates due to the plastic vs. mesh or netting. perhaps thats the target customer here? Likewise, looks like a sauna for summer camping, especially down here in the south...

I have to wonder how this would work over a small in ground pool. Part of the pool would still be exposed but it seems like it would trap heat in the shallow end with seating for cooler nights, like a poor man's indoor/outdoor pool....... or a foolish man's $700 stupid idea
