Offer is valid through Friday March 26, 2021 or while supplies lasts.
Our research indicates 10TB WD Red Plus 3.5" NAS 5400 RPM Internal Hard Drive is $80 less (28.57% Savings) than the next best price from a reputable merchant with prices starting from $280.
This Hard Drive receives 4 Eggs out of 5 Eggs based on over 1,800 customer reviews.
It is a 7200 rpm drive. WD lied earlier in literature and SMART data. Admitted in footnote 9 for this model in the above data sheet.
Note:The acoustics on this 10TB is significantly worse than either the higher or lower capacity drives in this line up. It is a noisy drive for not much of a benefit over lower rpm drives. In case you are looking for silent drives and fine with lower RPM drives in your NAS.
I've bought OEM wd reds that failed within the warranty period. WD replaced it, hassle free. Replacement shipping was slow, but it I think that's par for the course.
I received these only in boxes from Amazon on three separate occasions and never a plastic bag... I don't doubt that you had your experience but I can say that I did not have the same.

Anyone have experience with Newegg "OEM" drives? I'm wondering if the full 3yr warranty will be available on these

I bought an 8TB Red Plus from Newegg over Christmas and when it arrived it was clicking pretty severely, the replacement did the same too, ended up getting a refund. I don't know whether it's WD's quality or Newegg's shipping but I don't hold much faith in this class of drives anymore, they seem to be the bottom of the barrel while Red Pro are a much higher quality (and granted a higher price too).
Newegg ships these in boxes. Amazon ships in a plastic bag. Trust me on that.
I can second both of these! How... HOW someone decided it was ok to put my HDD in a soft bubble shipping envelope was beyond my comprehension. NE has gotten better about their HDD shipping, was long ago but I did get a HDD loose in a oversized box with just air cushion once....

The OP is a Red Plus. You had issues with Red Plus, but you say Red Plus are much higher quality. What's the deal?

oh, did NE actually stop doing that? i stopped buying drives from them like a decade ago because loose drives with a single bag of air to keep it company, slamming around a box didn't seem great to me
proving out the shock/vibration test i suppose...

When I contacted Amazon and asked about the shipping method, they very politely told me to shove off.
