I finally went with a PCI adapter with a small radiator and haven't had any issues since. It does seem like heat is a major contributor to issues with usb adapters, they tend to get pretty hot.
Do yourself a favor and don't buy it, unless you enjoy taking it in and out of the usb port multiple times a day.

I have! In my experience, even nicer USB 3.0 network adapters will dip in connection quality even if they're right next to the router.
Exactly, I've been through too many of those cheap usb adapters and all of them would constantly drop connection at some point, including this Edup one.

I bought this one before to use with my desktop PC and returned it because it kept dropping the connection.
Replaced with a cheap Roswill PCI one and it has been stable like a rock.

As others mentioned, heat is a problem... it could've also been that I placed it out of the way of my computer's fan and that helped. No sure what helped, but it started work well after a while. If you can, go for another type, maybe even a slower one. The faster it is, the hotter it will get. This is all conjecture on my part, but I really think that this is true. I have a slower, non-AC, wireless G only version without an antenna, that I bought for $5 and that has been super duper stable when I used it regularly.

I bought one of the off brand AX200 kits a year or so ago and it has performed flawlessly in my main desktop. It was a little odd in the beginning to notice that for some reason "Intel" was literally scratched off of the M.2 card but I have had no issues out of it. I am thinking of purchasing a similar AX210 card for an upgrade in the near future.
How do I get 10% I don't see it
Having used both pci and usb, it really depends on the quality of the usb WiFi dongle. Many of them are 1x1 and some are 2x2 and 3x3, WiFi AC and sometimes WiFi 6. The AC WiFi dongle I'm using is a 2x2 and it works just as good as the pci express WiFi I had. And I play e sports rocket league and usually my ping is about 48.
So I would disagree with this statement because IT DEPENDS on what the WiFi dongle is packing inside

if you have a free PCI port, there is no reason to buy this dongle. My 2 cents
