Only 4V. Good for nailcutting and woodworking but if you're using cutoff wheels or carbide bits on steel hold out for the 10V/wired versions.
Looks like a decent deal on the 8100 as well.

My wife bought the one marketed for dogs and it's just a more expensive basic dremel with a paw print on it. We tried it out and there just wasn't enough power or speed. Our chihuahua wasn't very comfortable.

I have a corded rotary tool by a different brand, but it starts out at 8000 RPM, like this dremel.
8000 is a lot better because you can gently push the nail onto the rotary tool and there's less vibrations that travel into their toes. The nails grind down a lot faster too. The chihuahua wasn't happy with how loud it was but she started going to sleep when we were doing her nails this time.

any dog owners out there that use this and have an opinion on how it compares to the ones on amazon marketed specifically for dog nails? Like this one:

Thank you!

Thank you!

Get the Dremel instead. The grinders marketed for pets are seriously lacking in power and quality. I have the older version of this Dremel, and it's fantastic for my dog's nails.

Review looks bad, the complaints are mostly on battery and power. Not sure how the performance compares to cord version.

Was going to bite on the 8100 but reviews on Walmart, Amazon and HD aren't very inspiring. HD, for example:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Dreme.../203624245

Any firsthand experience? Or any thoughts on reviews? Ignore for $40? Smilie

Thanks!

Bought the 8220 last week on a deal from eBay refurbished for 80. Did I screw up?
