Only 4V. Good for nailcutting and woodworking but if you're using cutoff wheels or carbide bits on steel hold out for the 10V/wired versions.
Looks like a decent deal on the 8100 as well.

My wife bought the one marketed for dogs and it's just a more expensive basic dremel with a paw print on it. We tried it out and there just wasn't enough power or speed. Our chihuahua wasn't very comfortable.

I have a corded rotary tool by a different brand, but it starts out at 8000 RPM, like this dremel.
8000 is a lot better because you can gently push the nail onto the rotary tool and there's less vibrations that travel into their toes. The nails grind down a lot faster too. The chihuahua wasn't happy with how loud it was but she started going to sleep when we were doing her nails this time.

Actually it could be easier. A oscillating tool would be better like QuestorJones above you pointed out. I'm not saying that a Dremel couldn't do it. Just that I would buy one for that purpose.
Frankly I think an angle grinder with an an abrasive cut off disk would be the easiest and most economical for doing a lot of nails. Anything w teeth would wear down fast.

I already have the corded Black and Decker version of a Dremel and all the Dremel stuff fits it. If you don't already have one this makes changing the tools much easier.

Your most likely correct. I don't own an angle grinder. Oscillating tool by Porter was my second multi tool. It covered a huge area of needs even if they weren't always the ideal tools.

My 8100 came today. Seems to work fine.

FYI I tried to register it online and the 8100 wasn't on the drop down list. So I called Dremel and the woman said the 8100 wasn't on the list because it's being discontinued.

$6.00 8volt Chinese copy
$36.00 4volt Chinese made Dremel

ITS the SAME components. Ok if it was the 8 Volt Dremel. It's like the difference between Heinz Ketchup and Store Brand Ketchup. They make a batch for Heinz. Clean the equipment and make a Batch of Ketchup for the Store brand. In the same factory using the same equipment.
Actually not true at all; perhaps if said manufacturer was making another rotary tool for another upper brand company, the components might be similar/the same. But low level knock off brands cut quite a bit off of material costs using lesser quality generic components, and even more so substituting what's currently available/cheap. It comes down to quality control. You also can't make blanket statements about tools from China.

Not all brand name tools are equal.
Not all Chinese knockoff tools are equal.
Certainly, not all brand name tools are the equal of the knockoffs just because they are made in a factory in China. There are massive differences in quality. Made in China can be garbage and in some cases, it can be excellent.

Heinz ketchup is way better than most generic brands. We get the idea, but that's a terrible example... and actually disproves the point of argument. LOL

btw, I have been using rotary "dremel" tools for 30+ years both in my hobby and my professional line of work. I have used many different brands... I have tried a couple cheap knockoff tools that are garbage and a couple that are surprisingly good. Same with big name brands. I just got one of these 4v dremel 7760 and it's decent.

It's definitely not ebay generic junk. Will have to see how it holds up

BTW, the price went up to $43 tonight for me... pick up in store only, no delivery available.

After using it some I'm not crazy about the slide switch that turns it on and increases the speed. I rather there be an on /off switch and a dial switch that locks in each speed.
