I know most of my Windows PC clients would not even consider a MacBook because they are familiar with Windows and many of their apps aren't on macOS.

Edit: guess I answered my own question. M1+16gb ram vs i5+16gm ram...MacBook is the clear winner performance-wise if you're okay with iOS.
This is much lighter at 2lbs vs close to 3lbs and this has 1tb vs 256gb.

Edit I read that there may have been some firmware releases that correct the issues I was experiencing. I am going to give this laptop another shot and rebuy it since I had returned the one I bought earlier plus this is a better deal.
