This is a must have gadget at home if you have boiled eggs regularly. I bought mine a year back when it was on sale for $10 and use it almost daily for my breakfast.

Tempted to get one as a backup.

Do you drink coffee? or use coffee maker with stainless steel interior? or use microwave oven?

Not sure how micro-plastics will enter through the egg shell !!!

Going to have to disagree.

Throw your eggs into a pot.
Put enough COLD water to cover them about an inch.
Cover with lid and heat until boiling.
Turn off heat, Let sit in hot water 6-10 minutes (depending on how done you like your eggs, remember this for future egg-cooking).
Drain water, fill pot with cold water to stop cooking.

Results are consistent. If you like your yolks yellow (not green/grey), give it a try. If you don't have pot/lid or stove, then yeah, this is good option for you.

Totally agree with prior poster.

I'm not usually a one hit wonder guy when it comes to kitchen appliances, but these things are great!

Perfect eggs every time. Great price. FP material.
This one time I forgot I was making boiled eggs and left mine on for half an hour and the result was tasty, really hard-boiled eggs. You have to turn this off when the buzzer goes off if you want them just right of course. The water level needed is counter-intuitive when you read the markings, but they work.

I drop the boiled (steamed) eggs into a big bowl of cold water and can peel as soon as they're cool enough- 5-15 minutes.

If you didn't know already, folks always seem to suggest at least a week or two old eggs for easier peeling. But I still have great luck regardless when using this cooker. I bought a spare when they were on a deal like this.

Mine has a poaching tray, but I've not gotten around to trying it yet.
HTH.

I don't have this one but have the Dash rapid egg cooker which is a similar concept and completely agree. It is nice to easily poach eggs or cook omelets as well. Not sure if this model has that feature or not.

You guys sold me already with your reviews but when I saw the video and saw I can make my own egg McMuffins without waiting in a long azz drive-thru I pounced on the Buy Now button.

I would say its more convenient. You don't have to stand and watch the egg boil and time it. You just put the eggs in with the right amount of water, turn it on and walk away. When it's done it will make a loud buzz then I know it's done! I was skeptical when I first bought it but I use it now on a weekly basis and rarely use the pot method anymore
