Awesome! I've been looking for an amp like this to connect to a couple of outdoor speakers. This will be mounted under my patio. I just hope it survives Phoenix summers. For $45, I'll give it a try.

Does anyone know if this includes a crossover so that the speakers dont receive bass but the sub out does? If so, what is the crossover frequency?

Looks like a gamble with QC issues... but the price point could make it worth it. Hmmmm... 🤔

Either way, thanks ok! Reps x4!

So how does the audio output compare to a regular receiver? Like a Yamaha RX-V581?

Yeah I bit, going to a/b with my Lepai and see if I notice any difference. Was about to other Aiyama a07 but this is nearly half price with more connectivity options, and I don't need all that power to drive the r14m.

Looks like this uses Ti (Texas Instruments) TPA 3116 D2 chip. They are known for their sound quality. However, if you're not looking for a fancy case, search TPA 3116 on eBay and you'll find a ton of caseless ones for less.

I have one of the generic ones (that I paid $15 bucks for) connected to a laptop power brick and it works well with 20 year old 3-way speakers.

To be fair, this includes a power supply which could account for another $15 and a case which would be about $10. So net $40. Hence $45 is a decent deal I suppose if you don't have an old brick lying around.

Can someone tell me if I have 2 rear surround speakers that aren't powered that I don't want to run speaker wire too how would I make them wireless? I bought a wireless kit for my sub but my sub is powered so I'm having a hard time figuring out what I need to make my surrounds wireless. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks OP. Picked up as a wireless option for projector speakers on the other side of the room. We'll see how it goes.

Description says active subwoofer out. So I'm assuming this wouldn't work for a passive outdoor subwoofer?

For the sub, can u connect a powered sub with Mediabridge ULTRA Series Subwoofer Cable (15 Feet) - Dual Shielded with Gold Plated RCA to RCA Connectors?

Connect it like a LFE?

Or do you connect it a different way?

If size isn't an issue, you're much better off grabbing an older $50.00 receiver off Craigslist and connecting an Echo Dot to it.
