Thanks for posting. We are about to transition our 3-year-old out of the crib, and I would be uncomfortable with a regular height loft bed. I'm sure he'll love the ladder and probably even enjoy playing underneath with his sister. If not it'll be a great spot for storage. Solid wood makes this worth it in my opinion.
this looks dumb. we have a real low loft bed for my daughter, but it's much higher than this and fits a dresser, book shelf and has a slide out desk. the area underneath is large enough for her to play in. this one is just...slightly off the ground
"Solid wood": does it mean real wood or not hollow out wood?
There's a point when real lumber is cheaper than manufacturing it. A flat surface would be cheaper and straighter with laminate and 'glued wood chips' than a natural piece which will bow with age. Anything that looks like a nominal-cut 2x4 is probably a real 2x4.

Did we just become best friends?
Exactly. What wood is not "solid"?
Generally speaking particleboard doesn't count as "solid wood"

So much extra room for activities!!
I'm in my 40s. Still want the race car bed. This bed is confusing.

You wanna go do Karate in the garage?
Definitely doesn't give any more room for activities.
