It works wonders removing waterstains from my stainless pans, but it will leave swirl marks. Not recommend for non stick, cast iron, enemel cookware.

These are Heavy Duty and it is scratchy.
It works wonders removing waterstains from my stainless pans, but it will leave swirl marks. Not recommend for non stick, cast iron, enemel cookware.

It's like having fine sand paper on the back. It does work. And lasts longer than the traditional green scour pad type.

After all is said, they're awesome for the right job; they're more specific-use than general-purpose.
I use antibacterial Palmolive dish soap (I only use antibacterial) even before COVID, and it usually works for me. By the time I have to replace my sponge it's because it's worn out as opposed to smelly bacterial overgrowth. Just my experience.
Occasionally microwave for 20 seconds or so, or put it in boiling water for a few seconds.
