It was the most surreal thing. Called and got tech support, they put me in a queue for "sales" and that guy called me. He asked if I could send him the video of the factory reset and he sent me an email. I send him the email and then he says they will do a one-time accommodation and process the trade in, and I immediately get an email saying that the trade was processed and my card will not be charged.
I am, uh, cautiously optimistic that that is the end of it, but it seems like it is?
I am just wondering how many people would take picture and video of factory reset and if they don't they were become the victim of BS lies of Samsung.
WTF Samsung, have some decency.
Luckily in the end I was able to show video footage I took with my note20 ultra and got my money back.
Basically using their own technology to fight against them 😆 like that movie enemy of the state

WTF Samsung, have some decency.
I've bought quite a few things with trade-in with no issues, however too.
*- You can actually be charged if you trade-in a watch for a new watch (traded in an S3 Frontier for the latest Watch 3) was charged for sending in the watch with it's band on it along with the charging dock that it uses.
Had I read the actual trade-in rules document it says clearly don't send them anything but the watch (with no band attached! And no charger) they charged me a disposal fee for those items.
