What makes youtube TV worth $55/month? That's an old school cable TV/satellite monthly price. We cut the cord to avoid those prices with ~$8/month Netflix etc. Why do people pay that much for Youtube TV?

People share YT TV with another household and split the costs.

I love my YouTube TV. Great to save $120 a year on it. Unlimited dvr, watch on every single device, lots of good VOD, super easy to use. Zero complaints except mildly high price.

Yep, I feel like the jump from $40 to $50 did include some good channels at least for us but the jump from $50 to $65 didn't add anything that we watch at all.

Their fluffed up PR just reads to be like "we thought we'd get a lot more subscribers, but we failed to hit certain targets with no indication we'll ever get there so we shut it down".

Honestly it was going to be hard to get people to switch from YTTV to Tvision considering the price.

It's still cable TV, just streamed. Live Sports is expensive.

existing yttv customers can cancel their existing subscription and then sign up using the T-Mobile promo on the same account.

When I first got it, it was only about $35 (I believe it's when it was first starting to be a thing). I miss those days 😅

Sounds like it's a promo code for Philo on Apr 6 for $10 off. We've been on the grandfathered $16 plan with Philo for years now, so here's to hoping it works and we can get Philo for $6/month...
