I think usps simulator is more accurate, it is nice when you get vehicles. I thought the graphics, the soundtrack, and even the exceptionally weird story was enjoyable. Even enjoyed building the road even though it was a slog. Losing your whole load while falling down crossing a river is painful.
I actually liked the game quite a bit. I've never understood how people simply state this very simplistic "walking simulator" review of the game. It's certainly not everyone's cup of tea and i would not say its a 10/10, but that is a horrible way of portraying a game that is very complex. Sure, it is not action-packed but the action sequences are well worth it and you have the option of focusing on action or stealth, depending on your preference. Sure the story is a very weird apocalyptic story, but as always, Kojima does an excellent job at balancing and playing with emotions/stealth/action/art/music beautifully. I would also add, that it's a bit of a horror style game/story.
Amazing game. Never really played many Kojima games but this was great, with fantastic visuals. Crazy story though, I remember being about 80 hours in and not really knowing how to explain the game haha

Not really. I tried it, and got pissed off during the first mission so quit. I'm a big JRPG fan, so I love story heavy games. Most of the games I play are chosen because they have a good story. The problem with this game was that there were no tutorials or anything to tell you what to do when enemies show up the first time. So no matter what I did, I'd make it 2-3 steps, get attacked, have to mash a button, then rinse and repeat. I also was less than amused by the "balance" system where you would have to hold two trigger buttons at all times or you'd tip over. Realism in games is fine, until it gets in the way of fun, at which point fun should be given priority.
Thanks, I picked up a copy. My GOTY for PS4 when it came out. I even got the BB collector's edition and the Death Stranding limited edition PS4 Pro. I absolutely loved this game, imperfections and all. It's just one of those things where you love it or you hate it, no in-between.
