Isn't this the normal price in store? Pretty sure it is, at least here in South Carolina. I've been hitting with the Dunlop's and like those second to these Wilson's.

Fun fact: they only have 3 packs because people who buy these tennis balls to cut open and place on walkers will need to buy a second pack for the fourth ball.

Stores and manufacturers do offer 4 ball cans. You just gotta look for them [walmart.com] and see which ball count tubes are more cost effective.

I imagine the sarcasm here but balls coming in 3 pack actually is a function of manufacturing

Originally balls were wrapped in paper and came in a cardboard box that fit anywhere between 1-5 balls
The playability of the balls sucked (as you can imagine)
So Wilson came up with idea of putting them in tubes, and then eventually pressurized tubes
and based on the manufacturing process, 3 balls per tube was the optimal combination
