VA panels have their own benefits. If you're waiting for a 3440x1440 144Hz IPS curved panel at this price, you're gonna be waiting a long ass time.
People on SD fronting like they need IPS to open 50 tabs in Chrome

Anybody know the minimum height this monitor has sitting on a table? I am trying to see if it will work for my lightbar and laptop behind monitor setup.

Or buy via target with 5% red card brings that $400 for new to $380... so more like $30 difference for a new vs open box...

I wish there were Slickdealer reviews on this guy Smilie I keep trying to convince myself to buy an ultrawide but i'm not sure how i feel about it replacing 2 of my 3 monitors.Heck it might replace all of them but knowing me i'll figure out a way to make the other 2 fit lol I'll be surrounded by monitors. I'm looking for a monitor to replace my 27" 1080p ROG Strix which is outdated now that I have an AMD 6800 and EVGA 3080 on order (Replacing the AMD 6800 with the 3080). So i sit here and look at slickdeals every day for the super deal. This ain't too super of I deal I feel but Monoprice is down the street from me so I can do local pickup/shipping and easily return it if there's any issues. Anyone have any comments about the quality of this monitor and experience using it? My use will be mainly work but a few hours of gaming every other day.

If you haven't already found a buyer for the 6800, lmk when you get the 3080. Been looking for an upgrade since my 1080 burned up from my Rosewill Lightning psu finally dying after almost a decade lmao

More related though; Could always use one of the monitors you'd replace in portrait mode for reading articles, chats, etc, or get a monitor arm and have it placed above one of your others. there's quite alot you could do with it stoll

To me, the specs on this monitor are very impressive for the price, so it seems like a solid choice!
Here are my reasons for the above statement:
This monitor features Samsung LSM340YP05 panel, known as quality for the money, being featured in monitors by several other brands AOC CU34G2X, Nixeus NX-EDG34S, Xiaomi 34'' Ultrawide, Vio-Tek GVN34DBE and others..

I'm very interested in buying something like this even if it doesn't feature "g-sync" that my current LG has because it'd just triple its price.

Anyway, I did look at a 34" ultra wide monitor (I think it was Sceptre), and I found that it was a bit too narrow for my liking going from a 32" LG non-ultra-wide. Otherwise, I love the concept!

Anyone else went through this transition?

Overall I am very happy with the monitor. Great for both work and play. I have had issues with the HDR that causes the monitor to be dim. Usually fixed by turning it off and on. I ended up just disabling HDR since it isn't good for FPS

I also have had this monitor for 8 months are so, I thought it might be a challenge moving from an IPS but I am a huge fan of this monitor and the value proposition at this price point. Even sitting next to my laptop's IPS I do not find myself wanting for something different from a productivity or general use standpoint.

I have this monitor and I also have the Alienware aw3418dw. While the Alienware is better, it was almost twice as expensive when I bought it. For the price, this monitor is excellent and I highly recommend it. Great contrast due to VA panel, the extra curve is really nice, and ghosting has been pretty minimal (to me).
I have the same alienware monitor and I bought this monoprice screen last time it was on sale and immediately packaged it back up and sent it back (they make you pay return shipping so account for that in your decision to buy from them).

I thought it looked terrible and immediately saw the difference in what you pay for with the nicer IPS ultrawides. This will be downvoted but I don't care, this screen is inferior by a mile to the more expensive options, which should go without saying. Just stating my opinion incase someone thinks they can get a $750 experience for $350.

I don't think that Acer was available when I was shopping last year, but I think it's a fair comparison. Probably a better value from a brand agnostic standpoint assuming there isn't something in the specs or performance I am missing on the Acer.

I really wanted to like this monitor. The black smearing on this is so bad. Coming from a 5ms ips monitor to this was a huge downgrade for gaming. Sure blacks were black, the colors were also really good but the response time feels incredibly slow and the black smearing was a deal breaker. I went back to my gigabyte m27q

I can only speak for my own experience. I know a lot about TVs and monitors so I am a little picky.

Stand was crooked and tons of backlight bleeding. It took a little while to get my refund but overall they were pretty great returning the item.
