Has not been my experience and been doing this every year for almost a decade. Easy submission done under 5 min. Rebates always came and immediately exchange for Amazon gift card (entering custom amount) which never expires.

Purcase date on Walmart.com
For walmart.com purchase, when i clicked print to PDF (walmart website/account) it did not include the purchase date (only included the date package was delivered). Then I changed the paper setting to A3 (instead of A4), after that the receipt saved correctly. Incase anybody else is having the same issue, try changing the paper size before you hit the save.woot

When I entered the rebate code, I received an error message saying the code had already been redeemed though nothing was showing up in the myrebate account.

I've finally been told the fulfillment company will issue a plastic card (waiving a $3 charge plus a $20 expediting fee (that really makes sense on a $15 rebate) so I'll keep my fingers crossed and see what happens.

This rebate has been painful. The new fulfillment company is terrible. In the past, when Mobil issued a check, things worked fine.

Many manufacturers like to make it somewhat difficult so people will walk away from a rebate but this has gone to a new level.

I'm stocked up on synthetic oil so based on this miserable experience, I will wait for Pennzoil Platinum or another quality synthetic to go on sale and double up when I need more. After this root canal, Exxon/ Mobil has lost my business . It's no surprise to me why they lost $22 Billion in 2020.

Is the Purchase Date on the rebate submission the date an online order was placed, or is it the date it was picked up? I placed the order last week and picked it up the next day, before I was notified that the order was ready. So the physical receipt I was given has the next day's date.

Dumb question maybe, but need to make sure with these rebates...

Use the date on the receipt. That shows when you actually picked them up

I just checked my claim and it said that paid date was 06/03/21 but I have not seen anything sent to my email. WTF?!?!

I screwed up and purchased last week from O'Reilly, thinking to do 2x $29.99 - $10 Mobil1 Rebate - $10 O'Reilly rebate. However, I just realized that the O'Reilly rebate mentions to purchase between April 28 - May 25, 2021 (https://www.oreillyauto.com/cmsst...R%20OR.pdf). Meanwhile, my Mobil1 2x $10 rebate has been approved, but not sent out yet.

Do you guys think I can void my current Mobil1 rebate, return the O'Reilly oil, purchase from Walmart, and resubmit my Mobil1 rebate and still get accepted? Or will Mobil1 give me issues since I was already approved once?
