Trading in an S8 or S8+ for $800 off an S21 series is an awesome deal IMHO, even if it is YMMV and via bill credits.... here's the offer details.

I see this option on the landing page, but once I login and choose a phone to upgrade, there is no option for this deal. I'm thinking about chatting with them to see if I can get it for a few of my lines.
Note, the rep said I was targeted for the offer because I own my device (pixel 3XL that I bought already unlocked from Amazon)... but I'm trading in an S8+
Oh and I'm on a SWAC plan so if anyone else out there is also, you should be good.
Smoking hot deal
EDIT -- add a line NOT required

I have a pixel 3 that is just dying. It won't even pop open the notification that a incoming phone call is coming. When the phone ceases to function as a phone, I have a problem. The pixel 3 qualified for the deal. I got a 256GB S21+ black (the only color available in that vareity) for $10.41 a month after bill credits for 24 months after trading in the Pixel 3. It said that phone was available to ship in 1-3 weeks so I'll be waiting for it.
Here are the options I had with the monthly cost after bill credits to save some time:
S21 gray/white/purple/red 128GB $0
S21 gray 256GB $2.08
S21+ violet/silver/black 128GB $8.33
S21+ black 256GB $10.41
S21 ultra 128GB black $16.66
Like I said, I decided to go with S21+ black 256GB. Was hoping for a silver one, but with a case I suppose it doesn't matter.
EDIT: Also, I'm on the SWAC Unlimited Premium plan and I was able to do everything from the website (didn't have to call in). The only unexpected bit was you have to pay tax on the full price phone, so $71.55 in tax plus the $10.41 first month so total of $81.55 paid today.
EDIT 2: I realize that math is wrong, but that's what they charged me. $71.55 + $10.41 should be $81.96, not $81.55.
EDIT 3: I got an email saying the ship date is by 04/09/2021 so I'm hoping that is accurate and I don't have to wait the 1-3 weeks.
EDIT 4: Same phone on Amazon full price is $999.99. https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Un...08N3573HX/
So I am paying $249.84 over 2 years and trading in the Pixel 3.

Now I go order a nice clear case...

if i do this , i am curious what happens to the plan?
does it stay the same?
i assume the phone is a T phone w a TM sim.
just curious to what exactly happens
replying to the folks that have done this deal so far

So I would assume, if your devices say "upgrade" on them when signing into Sprint, then you could do this.
