No, 48 is always priced at or higher than the 55 because it's more in demand (monitor tax). I'd watch out for these microcenter refurbished LG tvs though. They go through a 3rd party not LG
For what it's worth, mine came in a generic brown box and didn't say it was refurbished by another company. It seemed like an LG refurb. It just sucks though because mine died like 40 days after I got it as I stated earlier in the thread... so if you do go for it just buy the extended warranty.
I contacted LG to see if they would fix it for me... I'll update the thread if they do. Otherwise, I'll need to bring it back to the store for exchange/store credit.

Definitely buy an extended warranty with these. I bought a 55 refurb on Feb 25th and it died April 2. Now I gotta haul it back to the store because it's luckily within the 90 day warranty period. I had just decided against buying the extended warranty too.
