It's my understanding that all carbon steel woks will develop a dark, non-stick coating after being properly seasoned.

They have flat bottom woks that work better on electric, but I have used a regular one like this on an electric it's just hard. Season your wok before you use it rub it with olive oil or whatever oil and bake it in.

Got a hexclad wok, for non stick wok cooking purposes, and don't suggest using it on high heat. I know... I know... different price range, but something to consider. if you want a non stick wok. Tired of throwing out the lower end non stick pans every year. Hope this Hexclad lasts. Costco sells them too.

yes, yes and yes (limited distance by the store or whatever instacart does). it's exactly like the one in the picture here without any marking or label except a sticker at the bottom listing details of the cs wok itself and MIT

up until last year, it also came with free cs wok cover as well, but they dropped the free cover pairing after covid lock down

even if the wok was feature identical, a b&m store will charge at least $8-10 for statewide shipping, plus you're probably not getting a warranty or easy returns with a no-name brand.

i've seen reviews of other woks that complained the rivets came loose after oven seasoning. hopefully that won't be a problem with this one, but if it did i'd be glad to have the warranty.

got it today, first impression is that it's well constructed and attractive, 14" seems plenty of space to cook with and it fits well on top of my electric range (16" would probably be too large). lifting by the handle it feels solid but light enough to toss food. looking forward to getting this baby seasoned and start making stir-fry! for those asking, it weighs almost exactly 4lbs.

Got mine today as well. Very nice quality my Filipino wife approves. If it stops raining here she will season it tomorrow over LP gas burner then next up Pancit yum.
