To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

I have 9 lines, 10GB LTE Family Match Promo, 7 lines already have the unlimited high speed data option 2 years ago. 2 lines doesn't but for one of those-lines, the user is a data hog so I had to get the unlimited high speed option added for $15/mo. Can I remove that option now so I can get the free unlimited high speed data option for this promo or is it too late?

But if you have a active promo with eip payments do you first need to pay off the eip plan on those lines to qualify for another eip credit for that line?
Based on experience, no. I was able to get multiple oneplus 7t's from t-mobile when they had it for about $50 after credit. Had 2 phone/discounts on 1 line. YMMV, as others have posted otherwise.

Also would it be worth it to trade in my very good condition LG V30 that is 3 years old now & my Mint condition LG V20 that is about 4 years old for the Samsung A32 5G? Right now both are selling used for around $100-120 on swappa.

I just figured maybe the Samsung A32 would have more resell value being a new 5G device. But I also wonder if its worth hanging onto to those devices because LG is no longer making phones?
If don't mind the hassle of selling your V20 and V30 on Swappa, you should do and pocket the ~$200. Then spend $10 on a cheap cell phone from Amazon [amazon.com] to trade in for the A32.

It is not worth hanging onto those LG phones if you're not going to us them. There have been hundreds of thousands of those phones sold ... they're not going to have any value as a collectors item just because LG is getting out of the phone business.

No one knows for sure but the reddit thread seems to believe that the free unlimited data will be a data option you can choose on your plan. So hopefully when it goes live, you'll have a $0 cost unlimited option that you can choose in place of the current $15 option selected now.

24 month bill credit is a contract, T-Mobile you POS
You're free to cancel...A32 is not a great phone by any stretch of the imagination. It's going for some ppl like my mom who are not big users.

my iphone 7 plus has a crack screen, should I fix this? probably $80 to have it fixed by non apple store, just so I can get an iphone 12 at half the price? lol

im still gonna pay like $450 for the iphone 12 and is a locked phone, does this trade in require you to switch to a 2 year credit plan?

I NEED TO KNOW THIS

If it require a contract plan, screw that, you might as well keep the old iphone and buy a used one for a similar price and unlocked from Gazelle
you don't sign up for a contract plan. you can cancel the plan anytime. HOWEVER, the $450 they give you is over 24 months. so if you cancel within the 24 months, you don't get it all. the new no contract contract!

What happens to remaining credits, once you payoff the EIP?

No...

Tmobile "will not allow you to pay off the phone early" so for you to get 24 months of credits, you need to be charged 24 months.

Tmobile will not unlock a phone unless it is paid off.... It's a CATCH 22. If you pay off the phone early, you lose the monthly credits and if you want the phone unlocked it needs to be paid off in full. This is my understanding.

The 40 day thing is if you buy a phone outright from Tmobile... then they will not unlock the phone until 40 days.
This is incorrect info. I added a line last month (free line promo), its on EIP for 24 months and I can see on my account that the phone is eligible for unlock. I have 4 other lines that were unlocked in same manner. No issues at all.
Did not have to wait 24 months to get device unlocked. Those were old times, esp with Red and Blue carriers Smilie

I'm not sure what you're asking. For people who qualify for the free unlimited data upgrade, they would pay the same amount per month for the free upgrade that they're paying now. There have been many T-Mobile post-paid plans over the years with different options/features so there's not one single price that everyone pays. My post-paid family plan has 12 lines for $210 so $17.50/line (Magenta plan) but many people, especially those that were able to take advantage of the multiple recent free line offers, are doing much better on a per line cost.

Post-paid plans work on T-Mobile like they do with every carrier. You sign up for the plan and pay at the end of your monthly billing cycle.
