To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

It's obvious that there a bunch of mixed decisions on what is going to happen. I guess to be honest, it's a gamble regardless of how it is.

TForce told me if I changed it now, i would be disqualified from the Unlimited data, and would have to re-add it for $30
Tforce is basically just a bunch of kids that get paid $12 an hour. Wouldn't trust them at all.

BJFish, sounds like you have all the answers so no need to stay on this thread looking for advice.

For the others trying to make a rational decision based on available info, I'd be careful about making a change now. An unlimited data add-on isn't a right, its something they're providing as a promotion. Just like you can't go back and demand an extra free line now that those promos are over, don't expect to T-mobile to just give you this promo if you don't follow their rules. They already know what a sweet deal most of us already have so the threat of leaving isn't always going to work.

You can check that master SOC list I posted. Maybe check out Reddit since they have all kinds of discussions and tips and experiences subscribers have done to switch plans. At this point I'm not sure if you switch to a cheaper "non-unlimited" SC plan you will get the free upgrade come the 18th.

No knows for sure and time (the 18th) will tell. I'm not betting my life on what T-force told me and another user here, but I'm not dropping my paid option either as a few others suggested (I spent 2 months just to get that paid option added, they don't know the trouble I went through). But if it's similar to the free unlimited high speed data promo they did 2 years ago when they texted SC subscribers of plans with data stash, once you received the text you couldn't just unenroll the paid unlimited data addon for the line to get that line the free upgrade. They had 3 or 4 rounds of this 2 years ago, I got the text in 2 of the rounds and each time I unenrolled the paid unlimited data option for that one line and it didn't get the free upgrade; my other lines with limited LTE data did. I ended wasting a lot of time and effort to get that $15 paid option back because the family user for that line is a data hog. So that was my experience. So I feel it going to be similar. And again IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL, as some have suggested I need to do drop the paid option ASAP. If I don't get it I now at least have the SOC codes to try to get it for free without doing anything to my account
Here is some more info on SOC Codes for people.

Considering my dad went to a best buy to look at an Amazon studio and the rep said it uses battery and you don't plug it into a wall. My dad told them I don't believe you. I said you should have told them they are an idiot. Dude those tforce reps are the same. In fact I love the Filipinos more! They are way better at there job then the Americans. I've had them unlock phones for me that haven't been on TMobile more then 40 days. They get paid less then the Americans and are better and more friendly. You all act like you know everything all I'm saying is that everyone is spouting out conspiracy theories and no one knows what's actually going to take place. T-Mobile ran this promotion years ago but it was very limited it was not advertised at all. This is advertised and in the advertisement video it clearly states that the line not data the "LINE" NEEDS TO BE ADDED BEFORE 4-7-21. As in if I had an open spot on my plan if I tried to add a new line to the plan it would possibly make the entire plan ineligible / or that line not eligible. Read it man. Changing data has nothing to do with it. Clearly those conspiracy theories do have a point if it pertains to adding an additional line to your Simple choice plan after 4/7.

You would probably have to switch to a Select or Simple choice plan with the right SOC.

thanks for your perspective.
Perhaps at this point I am not gonna do anything but taking future AAL promo to make my per-line-price lower, than messing with my SOC/account.

Repped you for answering my question.
There aren't many SC options for 2 lines that are very cheap, let alone with unlimited high speed data. However a popular 4 lines plan with unlimited high speed data addon is the one with SOC NAFUTT4; a lot of people switch for this plan and it's eligible for every Line On Us promo thus far. It's $120/mo. However recently they closed the loophole for the unlimited high-speed data addon recently; but someone mentioned it's working again. I know you only need 2 lines but maybe you can find some to chip for the other 2 lines

I don't doubt you'll get your free unlimited high speed upgrade in your specific case (dropping your paid limited "data stash" data addon). We'll find out the truth on the 18th.

For me and others who have the paid "Unlimited high speed data" addon on a line (or more), THIS IS DETERMINING FACTOR! As with the promo 2 years ago if you have unlimited high speed data (paid or not, add on or included) on a line it's a good chance that line is not eligible; this is determined by the day of the promo announcement so dropping the paid option on 4/7 or later likely won't get that line the free upgrade. You can call T-force CSRs names all you want but I find them more knowledgeable than the ordinary CSR I call.

Hey I can be wrong and I'll admit it if that's the case on the 18th; one other user already dropped his unlimited high speed data addon so we will find out if he gets it and I don't. However you yourself can't say I told you so because you do not have an unlimited high speed data add on, you have a limited stash data add on so you will qualify

So what's the best way to get the best non-american person who will be very helpful like you're saying is it best to call after a certain time or use T force or the team of experts on the app?

No I have 10 SC lines 9 with 4GB free and 1 mine with $20 old school unlimited. I called them to drop it down to 4GB on 4-7 so all my lines are exactly the same 4gb Free. SURE maybe I'll be ironically screwed the only on with unlimited while everyone else gets it and I'm stuck with 4gb but I highly doubt that will happen. Considering this is not a limited non advertised promotion to get rid of just STASH users. Last time around the 4GB plans never got upgraded unless you had some lines with stash. This time around it's EVERYONE! The Reps who have no idea what's going on now. Will have more tools to fix your account going forward. They aren't going to leave 100 people behind that heard about this and dropped the $20. Very few people even know this is happening.

Yep I always call at night. I've got them to unlock an iPhone I just bought and paid off and never had it on for 40 days. They rep on 4-7 at 11pm was super helpful. Never mentioned I wanted to take advantage of this promo never even mentioned the promo. He never did either. He took 3 min and removed my $20 unlimited and put on the 4GB(the app won't allow you to do it yourself) he also changed it to the 4GB instantly. It doesn't change at the end or the billing. It's already on now and it's every slow cause I think because I already used about 60 GB for the month already the 4 GB plan is assuming that I already used the 4 GB so it's putting me on the slow incredibly slow speed so it really sucks but I don't have to deal with it for 10 more days or less.

My apology for getting your plan wrong. We'll find out on the 18th. I think we have different scenarios going on, some people dropping their addon and some aren't (like me). I think the only line in question is the line with unlimited high speed data addon; all your other lines will get the free upgrade. So we'll find out on the 18th and come back and share our results.

On a lighter note, anyone here recommend not getting the iPhone 12 mini? I have a few old iPhone 5's I may trade in to get half off

I think if you're already on a grandfathered SC, then it's possible. If you're on T-Mobile One or the new Magenta ones, I highly doubt it.

Fasho! And I wouldn't doubt that if you kept the $20 unlimited you might have an option under manage add ons to change it to the free Promotional Unlimited that reduces you stuff down to 480p. But time will tell. I was just trying to get the point across nobody really knows what's going on. EVEN ME. But I am going off of the actual video that was shown. It clearly states it's only for "LINES EXISTING ON 4-7-21" and technically all my lines EXISTED ON 4-7 and even if it means data which it clearly doesn't I did change it on 4-7 so it EXISTED on 4-7 hahaha.

i agree with the other user in that its sometimes best to get a overseas rep. i have been told countless time by u.s. reps that what i wanted would be impossible only to find a filipino rep who would be able to do my request. its funny because the reps in the u.s. says its systematically impossible. hah.

Will those on the super legacy grandfathered unlimited T-zones, preferred android web or BTV data plans also be getting the free upgrade? They did say they are giving those on a "limited data plan" upgrades. Since T-zones is technically unlimited data that supports limited devices, there is no way to know for sure if anything will change on Apr 18.

For those who don't know, with T-zones you are never deprioritized and video is never throttled during congestion, which makes it the ultimate unlimited experience. But T-Mobile has gone as far as banning every IMEI of US sold Android phones from using T-zones, but iPhones have always been spared.
