To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Which video are you talking about?

I couldn't find anything on this video about 4/7:

Also the Chat REPS are as clue less as us, they know nothing. Not sure if its cuz its the weekend or what.

Half of them are saying they don't even know what rate plans are eligible and that if eligible TMO would text us.

My thinking is, I'd rather risk adding it before 4/18 cuz what they are for sure saying that at or after 4/18 the lines would be 5g upgraded. So wont need to wait for long. That way if its eligible, the line may get a text saying its going to get upgraded, or ill just cancel the line ...

But if they basically phase out all non unlimited (capped plans like 2gb , 4gb, 6gb) then you wont be able to add a new line, of-course if you have a SC talk/text line you should technically automagically get the 5g data unlimited add on SOC tacked..

but my case is different its AAL new SC 2GB line...voice.
Yes if you're talking about adding a line on your Simple choice plan before 4/18 in hopes that it gets upgraded to Unlimited I would agree with you I would do it. There's a chance it will be upgraded but there's also a chance it won't so it's a risk but not a big risk cuz you can just cancel the line lol. Less of a risk than me I dropped a grandfathered $20 unlimited plan in hopes to get it free, and who knows maybe the other nine that didn't have unlimited will get unlimited and I won't 🤣🤣

Thats what am gonna do, I take crazy risks, i did this for my SWAC sprint account too it showed 2-3 free lines each time during checkout but the PROMO only stuck on one.

I am betting on the fact that perhaps their system is NOT coded very nicely that it will allow these lines in from 4/7 to 4/18 to pass thru.

Although that video time stamp of 7:55 clearly says lines as of 04/07 and If you change plan different rules may apply however it does not explicitly say ANY new line adds will be excluded etc.so slight...chance..of getting that free 5g on it...we shall see..

Here is the thing. Along long time ago I'm pretty sure I had a 500MB Simple choice line plan, T-Mobile upgraded it to 2 gb once and then they upgraded it to 2.5 GB if I'm not mistaken. And then they had this weird wacky promotion that you had to go into your account and manage your add ons and they had 4 GB of data with an expiration of like February 2019 and then February 2019 came and they like extended it or something and then they eventually made it permanent. You used to be able to add lines and add that 4 GB yourself then they removed the 4 GB and still allow you to add $10 lines but the only data options you had were no data for free 6 GB data stash for 15 and for $30 10 gigabytes data stash. But if you call them still they'll allow you to add the 4 GB for free. We still all don't know maybe what they'll do is get rid of all those options except no data or unlimited data who the heck knows. Or maybe they will just upgrade every single line that's on your account that has a limited data line up to unlimited. Kinda like how they upgraded my 500mb to 2mb to 2.5 without making me do anything.

The main headline feature should read "unlimiting legacy T-Mobile and Sprint plans"

It also says.
"If you change your plan, that may affect data rules."

This could have many interpretations it's very generic. One interpretation could be if you do anything to your plan after 4/7 changing the data on any of the line could disqualify you.
But it could be interpreted as if you add a line on your plan that could disqualify you.
And again it could be interpreted as something entirely different.
And again it says "may affect" who the heck knows if it will affect anything. It's too generic of a statement. Gives them lots of leeway to do whatever they want or not do whatever they want.
It means if you change plan to higher price rate, AKA upgrade, it would be fine but if you downgrade plan, you would be disqualified.

How would you interpret in this context I am adding a new AAL of sc 2.5gb , as of now I can add a new line on SC bur cannot without any special soc make it free unlimited so is it considered a downgrade or what? Lol ..

Yeah could mean that. But it's a very generic could mean a whole bunch of things. And at the end of the day I feel like there's not going to be a whole bunch of people that did what I did dropped a $20 unlimited down to the free 4 gigs like my nine other lines already had. I really don't believe T-Mobile's going to care so much about one of my lines. But who knows

If you add a new line on or after 4/7, that line won't get free unlimited data but you can add $20 for unlimited data. Any new lines activated after 4/7 won't get the free upgrade except for att/Verizon switchers.
Adding a new line is neither upgrade nor downgrade and it's a new activation.
The terms upgrade or downgrade only apply to existing lines.
If you upgrade a line from 4gb data to 6gb data, that line would still eligible for the free unlimited promotion but no one will do it.
If you downgrade paid unlimited line to plan with cap, this line won't get free unlimited promotion.

The free unlimited data promotion is only for existing lines with limited data cap as of 4/7,or those existing att and Verizon customers who transfer to t-mobile. Those att and Verizon customers can get the free unlimited upgrade if they switch before the end of 2021.

Quit griping here about being "forced" to use prepaid. I have the new Magenta plan and pay less than $10 a line, including taxes. My single brother enjoys one of those lines. I put my folks on two of the lines. Plus my entire family for about $30 more than your single line.

I'm not leaving TMO anytime soon. . .so yes I finance phones sometimes, if it's the best deal in the end. If not I buy in full from Sammy direct. But yeah $90 for 9 lines, plus the ability to trade up every year or two and not pay anything but taxes on the new phones. . .which itself is worth more per month than the cost of service.

Might want to find someone to share a plan, etc. Go to Mint for $30 a month unlimited, etc. etc. SO that you're not left out. Best deals are for groups, or singles on MVNO's. . .
@needgeech: just curious to know what plan you have..? $90 for 9 lines is really good.
