To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Those issues ussualy happen at Authorized Resellers, with any carriers, to be honest. I always avoid visiting those stores to sign up or buy anything. Remember that T-Mobile cut off their corporate stores significantly in the last 2 years and most of the stores out there are Authorized Resellers, including Costco.

Try to do your deals online or over phone, not visiting the store, unless you know what you are doing.
Thanks. Guess I live and learn. I'm 73 and I guess still learning

I've been through the ringer for i4 months 3 stores, maybe 6 Experts, customer service and rebate center. Finally after this post someone took care of this. They couldn't do my port in rebate but gave me a credit. Thanks for your advise. I had posted my complaint on Facebook T_M site.
Took your advice. They did apologize and gave me a credit.

If they're in a rural area their service is not going to improve by using 5G phones. 5G has a VERY limited range (less than a couple of blocks) and they have to have cell sites built up in that particular are. That obviously isn't the case with rural areas. 5G is being built up as great technology but the range and the tendency to have interferences is going to leave a lot of people wondering what the hype is all about. Those who can get the signal unimpeded will be happy
there's a lot of different technologies that are being included in the 5G umbrella, and one of those is very long range with better than LTE speeds. tmobile has that in spades. there's also the wifi-on-roids mmband stuff you're talking about that verizon has been building for speed records. there's a a middle range type as well which sprint was working hard on.

Anyone contemplating removing paid unlimited add-ons in hopes of getting the free unlimited upgrade, take a look at the reddit link in the Wiki. Jman100 is our T-Mobile insider guru and he posted some interesting info on that topic. Unfortunate that he doesn't seem to be active on this thread.

I paid off my EIP and am still receiving credits as most others have as well. But you should definitely believe what you want to believe will happen in your case and decide what to do appropriately. If you're reading that everyone is losing their EIP credits after paying off their phones then you should obviously not go that route.
Sometimes they do screw up. I have10 lines + 1 data line, and doing promos frequently. I currently have 5 promos, and planning on getting 1 or 2 from this sale - why not? Well, aside from the possibility that things screw up. It does happen - I got a S20 FE for free (had free Pixel 3a) with my existing line, and then a few months later they offered an S21 for free with my existing line (S20 FE qualified). So, after confirming that the promos would stick, I paid off the S20 FE, and traded it in on one of my other lines. I didn't get the promos, so I used T-Mobile chat app and after a dozen or so back-and-forths it was all cleared up.

Was it a hassle? Sure. But we're SlickDealers here, and we jump through hoops all the time to get the deals, so it's par for the course. I think a $1 TracFone will turn into a 'free' A32 and an old iPhone 6 might morph into a 1/2 price 12 Mini.

My last 5 yrs TM support experience can be summed up in a word: inconsistent!

I used to get outstanding support from iMessage/611 team.
Now the app chat team is currently taking the throne.

Tforce/Social Media is plain unhelpful and at one time, downright being a jerk.

Store: I had two awesome stores experiences. The rest is close to garbage.

So, inconsistent is the word for me to describe TM support.

Meanwhile, my relatives mentioned that ATT has been revamping their customer support & experience, and they have nothing but praise for it.

So far, TM get my business due to economic factor (i.e.: cheaper than competitors). Plus I haven't been traveling (for business or personal) in the past 2-3 yrs.
When I start traveling, I'd definitely put TM networks to the test as before their networks suck really bad
I confirm this - their support was incredible 2-3 years ago, but has started to go down hill - more outsourcing, with reps less able to fix things and harder to understand fairly complex problems.

I chatted with T-Mobile agents on iMessage (I pay for 2 out of 8 lines $20 per line for unlimited high-speed data) and this was their reply: Hello there! We are deeply thankful for your strong patience with us. My expert is refreshing the tools for quick enhancement and will get back to you as fast as we possibly can. Rest assured that we won't leave you hanging. 😊 Thanks for holding on! Appreciate your patience! You got it right, if your data plan is migrated to the unlimited plan we offer for FREE, no need to pay those additional fees for high-speed data. And while we are waiting for our batch to be migrated, we would need to pay the $40 in the meantime.
This sounds great but is exactly the opposite of what they told me. That I couldn't change my data plan and stop paying $20/month. Maybe they've had a change of heart. Or maybe even the reps don't know what's going on.

Thanks for all of the info but may i ask where are you getting your info? Are you a t-mobile rep?

Also, some people have asked whether adding a line now after April 7 but before April 18 (without unlimited data) will get upgraded to unlimited data. Do you know the answer to this for sure?

So if I trade in some old (unbroken) flipphone for the 5G phone, I would need to stay with T-mobile for 24 more months or else I would pay the unpaid remainder of the $282?

Same here. I'm still on 2gb, unlimited 5G would be awesome. Especially since I'm paying less than $25/month.

So what say you Master Yoda of T-Mobile Line On Us? For those of us with the paid unlimited high speed data addon, will T-Mobile give it to us for free?
