To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Well, that's kinda similar to be honest !
She also asked "someone" less techie ladies who convinced her that "AirPod Pros are the best" and now she doesn't want to believe 100s of reviews or own analysis !

But yeah, I know this is going OT so let's leave it there...lol
Not planning to build a castle with all those TDs from our fellow SDers, even though this was meant to be more of entertainment...LMAO
Not really. Your wife genuinely likes the Airpod Pros more. You just don't approve of the reason for that. I'm not taking a side either way, it's not MY place to dismiss someone's opinion because I don't approve of why they want something. At the end of the day your wife still wants the Airpods and you're unhappy about that.

My wife didn't want the phones she was sold. She asked me to help her research the phones and choose something that made sense. We did. She was lied to and manipulated by a professional salesperson into buying something she didn't want. Once she digested what happened, she was more angry than I was.

I'm in a similar situation to yours with regard to the phone she chooses for HERSELF. She's adamantly anti-Apple even though she used my old iphone for a few weeks after she broke hers and liked it. But it's her decision, she didn't want my input and she's a grown human, so she can do what she wants.

Maybe a friendly rep will do it for you after it's all set up. I wouldn't close it just yet. You could also find a friend to share it with and use their phone number with it using google voice or port it onto the line.
I don't think your limited data lines will be affected; I think they will get the free upgrade. If it's similar to 2 years ago when they texted me I would get the free upgrade, I immediately dropped the paid addon on my one line; my other lines still got the free upgrade 3 weeks later.

@Jman, any thoughts on what the executive CSR told me about disqualifying the entire account for this free upgrade because of dropping the paid unlimited on one out of 9 lines on the family plan?

Also, I can see that the rep switched it to the 4GB free option at 10am on the 7th according to the developer tools in chrome page. Technically that is 1.5hrs before the announcement so you'd think they would code the system to automatically upgrade all limited data plans before the announcement on 4/7, not 4/6... Is there any hope for my account?
It seems unlikely they'd invalidate the entire account eligibility due to a single line.

My android phone is missing the power and volume button, but it turns on (with my finger nail). And there's no cracks on the screen. Will they accept this for a trade-in?

Yes it should be accepted. Just make sure to send your finger nail with the phone so they can check if it works or not.

I don't work for Tmobile.

But, my understanding is that if you pay off the phone early they will NOT give you any more monthly credits.

TRUE STORY.... so I had a OnePlus 6T... got some kind of tmobile promo and got 24 months of bill credits. Just before I was billed for the very last month I jumped onto the Samsung 20 people's edition and I said, my last credit is going to be billed in 5 days but this promo will end in two days... can I pay off my 6T in full and still receive my last bill credit and trade in that phone for the Samsung S20 FE 5G?... They said yes. SURE ENOUGH, I was not given my last monthly credit... had to bitch and complain to get it but it was not easy. They told me if you pay off your phone early you loose your monthly credits.
Interesting...I've paid off a phone that I was receiving credits on to trade it in for another promotion, and I still receive bill credits for the original line that had been paid off.

Yes, if you purchase phone in-store. Need to spend $20 CS fee, but trade-in gets completed right there.

You have to make sure the credits start first then pay it off. If you pay it off early the credits should still keep applying. I think this poster had a problem because I was told you could only have one promo credit per line. So once they started a new promo the old one dropped off. I saw some posts where this is no longer the case, but I would not try it out.

Yes! I don't understand all this skepticism about upgrading on a phone and still receiving bill credits from the original phone. Think about it, many people trade up every year, whether to keep on the high trade in value bandwagon or to have the latest and greatest at all times. Don't you think there would be backlash on all the pre order threads if all those people kept losing their bill credits if upgrading after 12 months??

And the official TMO terms of recurring bill credits have been posted many times on all these threads, stating:
If you pay off your EIP early, you'll continue to receive the promised Recurring Device Credits (RDC) as an account-level credit through the remaining months of the promotional credit period (up to 24 or 36 months).

That means the credits move to account level, thus freeing up that line to take on another promotional phone EIP deal.

https://www.t-mobile.com/news/un-...=TMDesktop

Those that have lost their bill credits have either changed to an ineligible plan, cancelled the line the EIP credits were designated, or payed off the phone before the bill credits has stuck to the account. Or a glitch in the system. Most of the above (other than cancelling the line) can be fixed through CS to get the bill credits back

A family member is considering this promo (after getting busted screen replaced on iphone 11). However, they finally need more than base memory. Once taking that plunge, will future trade ins of that phone with greater be worth more, or is it typically treated as the same as base memory size? That is, staying in the iPhone 12 family as opposed to greater memory through pro.
