To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

A family member is considering this promo (after getting busted screen replaced on iphone 11). However, they finally need more than base memory. Once taking that plunge, will future trade ins of that phone with greater be worth more, or is it typically treated as the same as base memory size? That is, staying in the iPhone 12 family as opposed to greater memory through pro.
The extra memory upgrade never gets more trade in value. Sometimes when you get to 2+ years out, the XS max might fetch more in trade than the XS for example, but that's mainly if you jump the Apple ship to Samsung, directly from Samsung. If you stay with TMO and Apple, it goes by generation (other than mini or SE variants).

No I didn't ask them. I thought somebody here would know the answer
The answer based on "finger nail required" to power on the phone because of missing buttons?? That seems to be a rare occasion vs. the norm and unlikely to be answered here with real world experience. . .and dependent on whether the tester has nails and/or is willing to use a flat head etc. to prove it works. Don't you have any older device, any device, that powers on instead?

Try searching on ebay for pre paid phone or flip phone, etc. Didn't do the full search of all eligible phones. . .but found many for say $5 to $15. . .I used to buy tracfone flippers from Dollar General for $5, but that no longer seems an option, though those same phones will show up on ebay for cheap. The eligible phone list includes ANY phone that powers on and functions normally. . .try searching yourself. The reason I say this isn't to be a dickford, but because that phone you ask for will be gone by the time you get an answer, if its say a one off at $5 or so

You have to make sure the credits start first then pay it off. If you pay it off early the credits should still keep applying. I think this poster had a problem because I was told you could only have one promo credit per line. So once they started a new promo the old one dropped off. I saw some posts where this is no longer the case, but I would not try it out.
I do have a line with with two prior paid off EIP and still running recurrent credits for those 2 prior promos while I already started a new 3rd EIP with a current promo running (not paid off yet).

You lose out for trade-ins when buying more memory. You never recover the money you spend for more memory, whether you trade in or sell on the bay or elsewhere. When selling you recover only a fraction, for a trade-in you won't get a cent more.

That's why in some cases (say you have an iPhone SE2 with 128 or 256GB right now it may be better to sell that phone for cash elsewhere and buy the cheapest 32GB iPhone 7 for trade in that may give you same credit for the deal or for some of these deals you could get a $50 phone. That said, consider your time and effort, shipping, taxes, and other charges and see if the difference is big enough and really worth it.

I remember a time when TMO gave you a free iPhone 6 for a smartphone trade in and everyone went to target next door and bought a $30 tracfone to trade in, many people essentially taking it out of the clamshell in the T-Mobile store and handing it over. Big Grin So you need to see what the deal items say, not only what you have in the drawer, and then compare the two and see if there is enough to play with.

So can anyone answer the question what will be the TOTAL out of pocket costs at the T-Mobile store to get the Samsung deal starting the 18th? I assume it's in store deal only.

I switched over from Cricket to T-Mobile three months ago and am on the secret $20 a
month unlimited talk/text 5gb data plan they don't advertise. My current phone is the Cricket LG Fortune. Btw RIP LG who will not be making phones anymore Frown
that was actually a great phone, outlasted my I7.

deals will be available in store and online. online you have to ship the trade-in yourself. in store you just give your trade in to staff. they will inspect it and ship it for you.

Wherever you buy phone from store they just charge you $30 ($10+$20) no matter what.
