Nice! Nobody is a first responder on my plan. So with nobody qualifying to be military first responder or any of those special things I feel like my plans pretty dang good for having nothing special to get it down.
Well before switching to my FR plan i had a super legacy grandfathered Family Time unlimited plan for $39.99, 9.99 unl fam text, 3 $5 aal & 5 lines with $5 pau preferred android unlimited web. My total with taxes & fees was about $125 to $130. I got annoyed with paying $40 in tax/fees because I live in IL plus I didn't get any hotspot data. I also needed more lines & my Plan maxed at 5. Nice thing tho with old plan the data didn't get counted towards slow down limits.

I also have 2 free digits with paired data beta promo mi lines & 2 free magenta tablet promo unlimited data mi lines & 1 free proxy mi line. I've been with tmo for about 15 years.

Yes, the number of phone discounts you can get from one promo is limited by the number of lines you have if you have less than the maximun 4 lines per promo. So, if you have 2 lines, you can only get max 2 phone discounts per promo. If you have more than 4 lines, the max that you can get per promo is limited to 4 lines. However, you can get more than 4 phone discounts per line if you do another different promo with the same 4 phone discount limitation.

So, in my previous example, I assumed that the account had 7 lines or more. In order to get 7 phone discounts, the first promo maxed out at 4 phone/line discounts. Then in a separate and different 2nd promo, 3 more phone/line discounts were added. So, by using 2 different/separate promos, an account with 7 lines can get phone discounts on all 7 lines.
Thanks for clarifying. So in my case, would iP12 and iP12 mini be considered separate promos?

But you need to pay off the eip first right before starting another promo on that line? Can you have more that 1 eip promo credit on each line?

Unfortunately, I think that they are part of the same new iPhone promo that starts in a few hours. However, I'm not 100%. So, you may get lucky by asking T-Mobile.

Actually, I read that the promo are distinguished by their codes in t-mobile's system. So, you can find out if the iPhone 12 and mini are using the same promo code to see if they are on the same promo.

So from that I assume it would be okay for 4 iphone 11 -> 12 trade ins for 4 lines, and the fifth line to do the A32 upgrade?

SC plans are the big upgrade. I got 10 Lines upgraded to free Unlimited from 4GB.
This is the way, told people not to contact and alert Tmo about dropping plans, of course they were going to curtail it.

What is the cheapest option for getting some phones for the free Galaxy A32 5Gs. Bummed that I literally dropped off some flip phones that I had lying around for several years for electronics recycling last month.
Pretty sure ebay prices are sky high, next best bet would be your local Big Lots, Dollar Gen, Family Dollar, Clist etc..

EDIT: My statement below may be incorrect. Please triple-check with T-Mobile to make sure.

Yes, that is correct. You have to pay off the remaining balance of a phone tied to the line that you want to add a new promo to. Technically, you can't have more than one (phone) equipment financing plan and discount tied to one line. However, if you pay off a financed phone that still has remaining monthly discounts from a previous promo, that discount will continue on the account level instead of line level. Then, you can add a new discount promo at the line level and get 2 EIP promo credit at the same time, the previous promo discount at the account level and the new discount at the line level.

Of course, if you have other lines available without a phone financing plan/discount tied to them, you can use those lines for a new promo instead preferably.

UPDATE: My above statement may be wrong according to AlfWong's later posts below:

Used in excess of 20gb on sc2gb plan using both 5g and 4lte 0 slowdown, just to confirm there is no overage right on the SC plans? Or would be a big hit 🤔 from 2gb to 20 gb 😀

I think so. I read if the "promo codes" that T-Mobile uses in their system are different, then they are considered different promos. This will require someone more knowlegeable to confirm though.

The hot spot says 3gb limit before throttling. But others have stated 5gb lte. I guess we'll see later today

So found my 3 Blackberry left over phones from over six years ago. The Blackberry trade-in deal was one of the biggest/earliest UnCarrier moves, ever. Ended up with a free Note 3 + a bunch of other free phones back then. My 3 left over BB's charge perfectly & power up. One of them one wakes up only when you put in the battery or if you plug it in or out of the charger. The only button that functions but wont wake up the phone is the trackball. But that shouldn't be a problem as long as they plug it in. Which I read they do. All 3 batteries hold a charge well.

Hope to trade-in for 3 Samsung A32's 5G's later today. And being moved to unlimited for free is great.
