To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

This is the first morning of the promotional data upgrade. Things take time to percolate in their systems. Give them at least a day before worrying about it.
You are right. Thanks

I tried the deal on mobile, and couldn't get the web page to work, but I did see this, re: samsung trade "Your device's final value will be based upon valuation of trade-in device upon receipt. You can trade in one device per active line per month at the time you upgrade or activate a new line of service."

So the first 5gb Hotspot is full speed and later gets throttled at 2g?
Hotspot on my Magenta plan is 5GB that then gets throttled to 600 kb/s. Actually usable for me; I believe I was able to watch youtube at 480p at the throttled speed.

I have simple choice plan and checked under usage and see 5GB high speed mobile hotspot. Does this mean I get unlimited data? But when I check under data, it still saids 4GB high speed data. I actually used all of my 4GB this month and I did notice yesterday my speed hasnt dropped.

Do you know if simple choice is eligible for the phone upgrade? I do not see phone pgrade under my promotion. I would like to take advantage of free samsung phone and iphone deal. I tried just adding iphone 12 pro to the cart and selected upgrade but I'm not getting any deals. Any tips?
Yeah any line that has that 5 GB of hotspot and are still on the 4gb plan. Got upgraded to unlimited even though it doesn't say that.

You should be able to use the app and upgrade to take advantage of any of those promotions you just have to upgrade the line. Click on the shop button on the app and find the phone you want and try to upgrade it with the promotion. If not just call T-Mobile.

I upgraded the 11 to 12 by calling Tmobile. When you go through this online, does it try to charge you this $20 "payment support fee?" They initially told me that my taxes on the $830 iphone 12 was $71, and I was like, "no way, that's too high. Sales tax here is only about 6.2%" and then they told me that they added a $20 payment support fee, and I was like "I don't want to pay for that," and they were like "No worries, we will go ahead and credit the $20 to your account." Seems like they try to impose a hidden fee under the guide of "taxes"

Per my old discussion early payoff won't impact the credits. They will continue as far as you keep the line open. I would suggest to check with reps to make sure there is no change on this

When I go through the upgrade option, it asks for an IMEI.

Yup. Basically think of it as the old 4 GB mobile data plan where it was unlimited but after 4 GB was 2G is now just the hotspot plan but with 5 GB. Then the line is unlimited. After 50 GB it's data prioritized but my old $20 unlimited plan that I dropped used to be 50 GB data prioritized and I would use like 110 a month hahaha never slow.

If you not planning to stick with this mid tier phone for next couple of years, and would possibly trade down the road, what happens to bill credit? Let's say for trades outside of t-mobile...

I don't think so. My local costco in Ann Arbor said you pay for the 12 up fron, trade in the 11, and get 830/24 monthly payments for 24 months from Tmobile
What was the oldest iphone that is included in the $830 off? Want to know if my iphone 8 whould qualify for the $830. Thx!

So found my 3 Blackberry left over phones from over six years ago. The Blackberry trade-in deal was one of the biggest/earliest UnCarrier moves, ever. Ended up with a free Note 3 + a bunch of other free phones back then. My 3 left over BB's charge perfectly & power up. One of them one wakes up only when you put in the battery or if you plug it in or out of the charger. The only button that functions but wont wake up the phone is the trackball. But that shouldn't be a problem as long as they plug it in. Which I read they do. All 3 batteries hold a charge well.

Hope to trade-in for 3 Samsung A32's 5G's later today. And being moved to unlimited for free is great.
I was thinking of that deal last week.
Man that was a crazy deal!

Both ATT and tmobile were doing $200 for cheap Blackberrys
Still have a bunch of the bb curve. I had a family member lose his phone on verizon and tried to activate one on his account but was told they no longer use those on the network

I am trying to do upgrade over the app but it appears to ask the model of the phone I am trading in. Do I need to decide on this first before doing the upgrade? I was thinking of looking for a phone after I get the process in first so I don't miss out.
