To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Silly me this is true...
Most importantly it supports Sub-6 band so so it is future proof.

That's the 3.5 Ghz spectrum TMobile just won and is starting to deploy.

Not quite as long range as the 2.5 Ghz but more bandwidth.

Traded 3 Windows phones and an old marginally working Moto G5. Did in the store, but sucks they charged me to upgrade each line. Still can't complain, but thinking I try online chat to see if they will reduce the fees.

Haha best to not listen to those people. One guy went off on me saying why do you feel entitled to unlimited data lol 😂 like chill dude I've had tmobile for 15 years and T-Mobile has a promotion I want to get in on it. Sometimes people get real butt hurt about somethings I don't know why.

I've been hearing though that if you do still have the $20 unlimited data you should be able to drop it's still going forward and T-Mobile will honor the unlimited for that line because that line was in place before 4/7. I stress that a lot last time if you read the actual fine print it talks about the line not the data.

do you need a 5g phone to get unlimited data? in other words, do you need to do a trade in?

Went to a tmo store today, and guy said that they only had 4 in stock, and sold out first hour. so they won't take my trade in and i'd have to mail it in. So i asked him to look at the 2 phones i had, one had minor scratches on the screen, the other had a much more visible scratch that almost look like a crack. I asked him if they were good to trade in he said yes. So i was too skeptical that he just wanted me to do the upgrade.

What happens if tmo doesn't accept your trade in?

TIA!

I went into a store today and the employees were confused as to how the unlimited data worked. My son has the basic 2gb pack on his phone but in store he was getting full speed even though he was over his allotment this month.....
The fine print is it is unlimited, but deprioritized after 50 Gig.

Also 480p media streaming (Youtube/Netflix/etc).

# 2 : Why are you stating that it's not guaranteed that promo would apply? I placed two orders and it's clearly stated on the page that I'll get 24 credits.
Quote from kevin2926 :
I did four EIP/Trade in promotions in the past three months. If you plan to do A32 promo, here are my experience.

1. At T-Mobile store. Pro is your get phone immediately and drop off your old phone there. You can ask sales rep to look at your old questionable phone. Con is you may need to pay $20 assisted and upgrade fee. You can try to get it waive but it is harder to get the fee waive with cheap phone.
2. At T-Mobile online store, you are likely need to pay for $6.99 shipping fee. Free 2 day promo is for new line only. Phone will be shipped to your home and you will need to ship your old phone. It is also not clear if the promotion would be applied to your order. Compared to physical store, you save $20-6.99=$13. This is actually my least favorite.
3. You can place order with TForce or in app chat. It is the same as online store but you will have easier time get $20 upgrade fee and shipping fee waived. I always started with I have problem with online store because I don't know if promotion will be applied. I also mention free shipping promo.
4. Costco. Costco offers all T-mobile's EIP promo. I talked to sales rep, he said EIP promo can be complicated. Some sales reps don't like to do it so they just tell you they don't offer. The phone will ship from Costco's own warehouse and the order will not show on your T-Mobile account. It is hard to track your order. You will get preprint label that you need to ship your old phone. You don't have to pay for shipping and upgrade fee. Costco also offers $30 rebate for every EIP.

I ordered once with TForce and once with in App chat. I would do it again if I have time to wait for them to respond.

I ordered twice with Costco without any problem. I would do it again if my old is in good condition. I like that I don't have to ask them to waive the fees and I am sure the promotion will be applied. I also got $30 cash rebate after 8 weeks.

I have a phone which often gets stuck on boot screen. Sometimes it makes it all the way and loads.

What happens if Tmo determines this doesn't qualify? Can I cancel my EIP and get my traded phone back?
Unfortunately, no.

f you are uncertain, do your trade in at a T-Mobile store so the device is examined in front of you.

That's just the way it is for every trade in program I know of. You have to be certain your device will qualify. By the time you hear back on the trade in, you will be outside of T-Mobile's 14 day buyer remorse period and you won't be able to return the phone.

The best you can do at that point if you mailed it in is ask them to re-evaluate. Worst case scenario, you would owe the full value of the new phone and you can pay it off and try to sell it to minimize losses.

Though if you're going for the A32, the resale market will be flooded with them after this promo so don't expect to get anything near full price unless you get extremely lucky.

Yes. I have the 4 for $100 (2GB/Line) simple choice w/ 2 extra lines added for free throughout the years. So total of 6 lines. I called & they said I now have 6 unlimited lines for $100. STEAL OF A DEAL!
What does unlimited mean? Does the speed get lower if data exceeds certain amount? My plan now says unlimited high speed with 6G mobile hotspot. Not sure what 6G mobile spot mean? Does it mean the I get speed from my phone will be lower if data exceeds 6G?

Just to be clear on this deal. I called TMO; the rep said I would get $415 trade-in for my iphone X. Should I also get a discount on the iphone 12 pro? Reg price is $999 (128GB). So the math he gave me is $999-415=$584. Monthly is $24.33 ($584/24). I was under the impression that I should get half off on ANY iphone 12 with trade in. Is this true or not? TIA.
Their "discount" is the trade in value. You get a $415 discount on any phone you purchase, the phones themselves are not discounted.

I said it is not clear if it would apply. When I try to place an order, there is no mention about promotion when you check out. Often time you are told that the billing credit will be applied within one or two billing cycles. I would prefer having someone to make sure promotion is added when you order. My promo was $800 S21 promo. That's lots of money to mess around.
