To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Still no unlimited option on simple choice 4gb plan.

Is there any word yet on whether the unlimited option will affect simple global free data roaming internationally?
So I called and inquired about why I haven't seen the unlimited option on my plan online. I am on SC NA 2Gb for 7 lines. She originally didn't know and looked up the document. Upon reading the document, she stated that you may not see the plan online because it is not changing your plan. You will get a text when your plan is updated and it could happen between now and April 27. She said you can look up online and see your data usage of how much you used out of how much you have left. I told her I saw 0.7 gb out of 2Gb online. She then looked herself and saw it said 736mb (basically 0.7gb) out of unlimited! So it looks like I do have unlimited evn if it doesn't say so. This confirms other people yesterday saying even if they didn't see it online they are beyond their limit and with no slow down.

I then asked her what it said for hotspot. She said it says 0 (i haven't tethered yet) out of 3GB. So it looks like with my 2Gb plan, I got upgraded to 3Gb hotspot instead of the 5Gb most other SC plan got. Frown

In similar boat but I could not specifically see the trade in deal for the Iphone 12. I called Tmo CS but they are not help... in fact, clueless about the wave of deals/promos that have been announced...

also, I have a Tracfone but it is still locked to them, I wonder if I can trade that in for the Free Samsung 5g Phone?
It works when you try to do this online / mobile app and it shows that my trade-in qualifies for a full $830 credit for my existing free line. It is just not shown online even when logged on until you proceed a few steps into the upgrade process. I intend to do this in store to avoid delays in credits, but can confirm that it works online if comfortable doing it on your own.

Tried it and it, indeed, shows a full credit of $830. I am just a little bit worried that the bill credits will not go through as there is no mention of it as part of the deal unless you add a new line... however, it was clearly stated on their announcement that this was part of their promotion...

You can trade in carrier locked (at&t, verizon, tracfone, etc.) phones. And especially so for the Galaxy A32 5G promotion where they stress "ANY" old phone in working condition.

I appreciate and respect your opinion but you should take into consideration that they are giving you a brand new phone for a fraction of what it cost to build. I'm trading in a few $5 phones personally but do you really feel that it's unreasonable for them to offer such a great phone that's brand new and offers the latest 5G technology in exchange for almost nothing?

I personally feel that them asking you to retain your service in exchange is completely reasonable. Also consider that they absolutely do not "put you in chain for 24 months" [sic]. You can still cancel your service at any time. There's not even a cancellation fee; you just have to pay the balance of the phone, which is completely reasonable.

Please take into consideration what I've said here. Whether you agree or not is entirely up to you but I hope you'll see things from another perspective -- the perspective of appreciation for a company that literally just upgraded everyone to unlimited high speed data service and didn't even charge for it. If you'd prefer not to support such a company that's fine but smearing T-Mobile for taking the tiniest of efforts not to lose millions and millions of dollars by asking you to become or remain a customer is not helping anyone.
"in exchange for almost nothing"?

Hardly. T-Mo postpaid people are paying through the nose and why the monthly service more than covers the actual cost of a phone.

Sorry if this is being ask but 2k comments are a lot.
I traded in my Note 3 for the Galaxy A32 but it said the value of my Note 3 is 0. Does that mean I don't get the $282 credit?

From the contact

""Once your new Galaxy A32 5G ships, you'll have 30 days to send back your current Samsung SM-N900T Galaxy Note 3 32GB White - T-Mobile in good condition to receive a one‑time bill credit of $0.00.""

I have old phone that only has HEX ESN (8letter and number) and DEC ESN (11 number) not IMEI. I called 611 3 times and none of the reps seem to know how to go about this. Anyone else have another route I can go?
Twitter T-Force told me to try all 0s, which allows it to continue, but I had an error after. So they placed the order for me. My documentation actually shows they entered all 9s.

I'm not sure if this will have problems on denials, but I have it in writing so they'll make it right if there is a problem.

This promo should run for the rest of the year as announced... If they end it mid-way, I'm sure there's going to be a lot of unhappy customers, me included...
