To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

I was considering this deal until I saw the display resolution is only 1600 x 720. Is that right?

what you mean?
"you can use that to your advantage to move one or more lines out for 3 to 4 month period and come back in as a new customer."?
Existing customer upgrade deals are rare. If you already have a good monthly plan with discounts and free lines, you will need to pick a non-free line to move out. This will keep your existing account and promos intact.

When you add a free line, you cannot remove any existing lines for 12-months. So, if you have any eligible paid lines that can be taken out without messing existing promos, port to Visible or any non-TMobile provider and stay the minimum 90-days needed to be considered as a new customer. Doing so, will allow you to use your older phone to trade-in and get a 12, instead of trying to trade-in your 11 Pro as an existing customer.

The way it is going right now, 8-series is on its last legs to get a full trade-in value as a new customer / port to get a 12 this year. You have an XS paid off, which will be still eligible for a new customer trade-in this year and possibly next year as well.

So, keep your iPhone 11 Pro, and move out XS to a prepaid line and come back, if the above will suit your current account / plan.

I understand your post and read the press release also. But I am actually login to the t-mobile account , select my paid off Iphone11 for upgrade . It says on the top that requires both trade and and add a line . Not sure if they changed the terms
The terms have not changed; this is only day 2 of the promotion and they state it runs from 4/18 to 5/1.

Did you actually do the upgrade process and started proceeding through the steps? You have a lot of steps before you're actually committed to buying the new phone on an EIP. Just dive through, start the upgrade process and you should get an obvious "You'll save $830 with this promotion" without having to add a new line. And this will be before "Continue to shipping" and other confirmation steps so feel safe that you can actually do this without messing up.

Checked for stocks in store and made sure they have 2x A32 5G in stock.

Traded in two trash flip phones from ten years ago.
They could not care less about the trade in phones and took it.
Had to pay $20 per device fee, but hey, people got to pay for the store and staff right.
I am cool with that instead of doing mail in, risking package going missing and denying my trash phone or waiting for back orders.
Went out the door with 2 new A32s for the in-laws. Not too bad.

What's bets in my case? I have 11 pro 512gb and have $400 pay off amount left.
Pay that off to get an IPhone 12 or 12 pro? I don't want to spend a lot after the $830 credit so I can settle for 256gb size.
Or don't pay off yet and don't do upgrade?

I have XS paid off but credit is only $415 and I can't even get the 12 mini for free with this trade in credit.
I would personally not do that.

humm. then it is no different than ordering online. Not sure what is the advantage of doing it. Also, if costco fo in stock iphone sale with trade in that would be awesome as they are cheaper in store but I don't think they will do it.
You get the $30 gift card, and there is no shipping charge if you buy from Costco. If you order online from T-Mobile, there is a $6.99 shipping charge.

So you'd end up paying a net of $36.99 more if you buy from T-Mobile.

That's a better deal certainly.

Though with how TMobile did my Sprint line I technically get 1024GB shared with 1024GB hotspot and no deprioritization and no 480p throttling (Full HD video).

So it's more similar to Magenta Max.
That's a sweet upgrade. Would rather have that than Max. And I would put a couple of those free phones to use as wifi hotspots for a month, long enough to dump cable a come back as new customer lol.

Had to work with Costco guy this morn to make sure everything was canceled and he said he called TMO to get my EIP off but it is still showing. Weird thing is it shows a $14.84 monthly discount and coupled with the $59 they would give for my iP7+, that comes out to $415 (14.84*24=356 + 59 = 415) over 24 months!

I asked again this morn and guy is adamant that Costco is not supporting this promo for iP12 so oh well. Hope my EIP gets corrected soon...
Sorry, what is the benefit of trading in the iphone 11 for the iphone 12 at costco? I am reading you don't get the activiation charge of $20 you would get in store, and some reports of a costco cash card? Is there a link to the costco terms?

I just talked to a rep at my local costco kiosk in the Pacific NW.

He told me that Costco is not mirroring the trade in deal with a Mastercard like they usually do. What they can do is process the same deal you would get at T-Mobile but the phone will be shipped instead of provided in store. This opens up your choices a bit because usually their in-store inventory is quite limited.

The main benefit of going the Costco route is that they waive the activation fee plus they send you a bonus Costco Shop card. I forgot the exact value but its small. I believe the phone will not have the typical 50 dollars off retail price though. So yeah if your a Costco member it still might be worth it for the activation fee being waived plus the convenience of Costco returns.

Please correct me if you have any Costco information that conflicts with what I heard over the phone from the kiosk.
At Costco, I signed up for an EIP of $282. The phone will be shipped to me, and I need to mail in my trade-in. I wasn't charged a service fee, activation fee, or a shipping fee. I received the application for the $30 shop card for buying a new device.

So I paid $28.21 in tax for the phone and will get a $30 shop card, with bill credits toward the EIP. In the end, I got paid $1.79 to get a new phone.

Quick question, what will happen to my existing EIP credit if I upgrade?

On my checkout summary, I have to pay ~$125 for my device, in which ~$75 (spread out to 4-5 months) is credits from last upgrade.

I talk to a T-mobile rep in the chat and was told I will loose it, while in other promo in the past I saw people commenting that you should still have the credits directly into the monthly bills. Getting confused here. Thanks for any help!

Yes, they did...I called 611 and have it waived. I said the website wasn't working correctly that's why I had to go into the store.

For those that traded iphone11 to the 12. TM usually sells it on the EIP and credits the difference but in this offer, it is a straight 11 for 12. So there shouldn't be any of those credits and debits, right?

I should be just paying for the tax and shipping/upgrade fee if any? Is this correct?

Oh, people that went to Costco for this deal what is the current price for Iphone12 64Gb there?

Thank you very much for replying!

It's a 5G phone for tax only. How much use are you getting from your 240x240 flip phone screen?
