To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

If the phone is backordered and won't ship for another week or more, can we wait until we receive the new phone before mailing the trade-in phone? The shipping label says it expires 1 month from the order date (i.e. May 18) so I take it to mean there's no hurry?

This thread is so big it's overwhelming. Did anyone post if the best thing to do before packing up the trade-in phone is to perform a device reset from the settings menu? Isn't that supposed to kill all of the data and leave the phone in a "like new" state?

During your upgrade & trade-in process, you should've seen something like "You'll save $365 with this promotion" on the order details screen, before the shipping screen. That is the half off the $730 price of the Mini. After you specify your iPhone SE trade in, the next screen should've told you that you qualified for this promotion. If you didn't see this or you're unsure, call in or message T-Force to confirm you qualify for the iPhone Mini deal (2021 Apple Trade P7, Promo Code T567).

If you want to know your monthly breakdown, the iPhone mini costs $730. So over 24 months, your equipment installment plan (payment plan) for the phone is $730 over 24 months or $30.42/month. That's how much you are paying for the phone each month.

But you also get $365 in credit (hopefully). The $9 trade in value is applied semi-immediately and the balance of $356 is credited over 24 months or $14.83/mo.

So each month, your bill will increase by roughly $16 ($30.42 payment - $18.43 promotional credit). Over the 24 months, the ~$16 bill increase comes out to $365 which is what you will end up paying for the iPhone which is half off the retail price.
Thanks a lot.. For your patience to explain..

Had a barely surviving iphone 7 +, paid to have it fixed. Just came back from Tmo with a brand new iPhone 12, Tmobile took 10 min tops. Finally made good with one of the promos.

Does anyone know how you pay off the phone you will trade in when doing this online? I went through the process and did not see any prompts for this. I know you have to pay off the phone before trading in.

Also, can anyone confirm that you would retain bill credits even when trading in the phone?

Any help is appreciated

Depends on what phone you're using. Android, encrypt and then reset. Older phones (flip, etç) I believe will only have the factory reset available as an option.

Your $9.00 trade-in credit will be applied after two bill cycles:
One-time bill credit$9.00
$9.00 off your bill (after two bill cycles)
The tax is calculated on the full $729.99 price of the iPhone Mini. The promotional credit (in your case $365 less $9 for the SE trade-in value) isn't mentioned in any of my order summary emails also so that's normal and not something to worry about.

I have no clue where to look on your account to confirm the half off promotional credit will be applied as I think it's just too early. If you saw confirmation that you qualified for the $365 promotional credit, and it should've been obvious after entering your iPhoneSE trade in, then you shouldn't worry. But if you don't recall getting confirmation that you qualify for the promotion then I would call or chat with T-Force via Twitter of Facebook and ask them for confirmation that everything went through correctly.

I have very old grandfathered plan: Select Choice FAM UNL to 50 with 3 lines.
Now I see that all 3 line have: 30GB 4G LTE with data stash per line (which was not there before, since I did not have data on 2 lines)

On one line I always had AddOn: Unlimited LTE for $20

I want to remove that add on (30GB is OK for me) but TMO CSR is saying that if I do that I will lose data COMPLETELY on that line.

What do you guys think? Any experience?

Just went to store and trade in 2 Blu phones (blue vivo xl 2 and blu r1 plus) for 2 Samsung A32, is pretty smooth, they have trouble finding the model on their system but a phone call fixed the issue.

Also notice that there's some different qualifications....one employee say cannot have damage(water damage etc) while other say as long as it turns on it is fine.

Are you adventurous or don't mind a bit of work to save close to $200? The iPhone 7 gets you the same trade-in value as the XR. Assuming your iPhone XR is in good shape, likely you can sell it for ~$300 on Swappa or locally on Craigslist/OfferUp. If you can get an iPhone 7 cheap enough to trade in, it might be worth your time to do so.

You can get a Total Wireless iPhone 7 for $90 [totalwireless.com]; Total Wireless is a TracFone subsidiary. Must add a $35 plan so $125 total. Use code "SPRING25" to take $22.50 off making your total $102.49 before tax. Your going to get a pristine iPhone 7 and a bonus lightning cable and usb charger to keep as backup. Trade in that iPhone 7, sell your XR, and hopefully net nearly $200 compared to trading in the XR.

If you're not adventurous, I'd still do the trade in myself simply because of the no add-a-line requirement.
Thanks for the input! I'll try the 'adventurous' route!

My iPhone 12 shipped for delivery tomorrow. I did not pay for expedited shipping so that's a nice surprise Smilie
You ordered online yourself and paid for just 6.99 ground shipping or you ordered on the phone ? I am thinking whether it is worth to call and order as they usually waive expedite shipping fees on the phone call but even after selecting online and paying 6.99 if we are getting expedited then I would just do everything online as that's faster than phone too.
