To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Is there any SIM fee if you are simply upgrading from Iphone 11 to Iphone 12?
Quote from FormallyKnownAs :
No. Just the $20 fee if doing in store.
Isn't the SIM inside the phone already? I was told that the SIM fee is automatic and 611 or online support can assist waiving it.

For in store, while the sim is in the box, I told the store that I already have a line and would put my existing SIM in the new phone. For my online trade in, I selected 'upgrade a line' which removed the need for a new SIM.

As always, this is YMMV, so if they insist, you may need to call 611 or TForce to waive it.

Is there a way to verify that this method will pull up the correct phone on their system? Is their an online checker to see if a IMEI number corresponds to what phone?

Edit:
I just tried this with a Sprint HTC Touch Pro 2. Using this method gave me a valid IMEI number but when I input that number plus the last digit back into this website it pulls up a Samsung Stratosphere phone. So i guess using this method there is a risk that when they receive the phone they won't be able to verify that it corresponds to the phone because it shows up a different brand/model.
Same phone came up for me when putting in the numbers from my Palm Treo Pro. I think the website is confused

Just an update = I have an old SC plan with 4gb data cap. My bill cycle ended yesterday and I had hoped that with the new cycle, my plan would now show unlimited. Nope. Still says I only have 4gb. So, I messaged T-Mobile this am and they assured me that I do have unlimited even though it still says 4gb. He did not know why the terms had not changed or when it would change.
Mine is also still showing 4gb, but since 4/19 a new option for Unlimited 4G + 14gb hotspot showed up for $45/month. I'm testing a line to go over cap and see if the speed slows down.

Same option comes up on all my 4 lines. 2 of them are free. Please keep us updated, how it works out for you.

For Samsung anyone experienced any difference between store v mail options ? Will store provide instant rebate or do we have to wait?
There is no such thing as an instant rebate. You are agreeing to buy the phone for $282, billed at $11.75/month over 24 months. And you will also receive a promotional credit of $11.75/month over 24 months making the phone "free" after 24 months. There's no change in this billing/credit structure however you take part in this promotion, in-store or online.

Confirming that Costco is a bust; all sold out and they don't do backorders. Hopefully, they will get more sooner rather than later.

the retail value of the phone is only $282, tmo cost of the phone is probably only $200 or less. with just a $200 value phone, tmo could lock a line for 24 months, this is a freaking great deal for tmo. if u port out, u would pay the remaining balance of the phone. whos the smartest one here?
It depends, do you want to switch carriers in the next 2 years? Is there a carrier who can give better deal/coverage/plan/cost etc? Personally, I was never with Verizon. AT&T customer service sucks. Can't go to Sprint! I think, I am going to continue with T-Mobile why not take a free phone. I traded 3 phones which were not a great phones IMO to 3 new A32 phones.

Ask next time for free overnight shipping and all fees waived. They will do it, especially for big ticket items like the Pro on EIP.

I placed iPhone 12 Pro order yesterday and it arrives today. T-force rep gave me free overnight shipping, and waived assist fees too.
Did they waive the fees or do a credit after the fact? Wonder if I can do a chat with them and ask for another credit. Looks like charged shipping too I got a. 12 mini and a32 coming

So the math on trading in an iPhone 8 for a iPhone 12 works out that after 24 months, the iPhone 12 ends up costing me $500. Not bad but not a screaming good deal either, and you also have to mess with the 24 months of credit.

I assume if you upgrade to another phone during that time period (and the iPhone 12 no longer becomes active on the account) you would lose the monthly credit, yes? If so, not only are you stuck with T-mobile for 24 months, but you are also stuck with the same phone for 2 years, if you want to realize the full credit.

They waived the assist fees, shipping fee, and sim fee from the start. If I am doing a device upgrade, I always ask from the outset for those fees to be waived. Almost always, they agree to it. If not, I sign off and try another rep.

I would definitely chat with them and ask for a credit, or some other perk that they can throw your way. Just tell them a friend did the same deal as you and was not charged those fees, so you would like the same courtesy extended to you as a loyal T-mobile customer. Peace

The silver iPhone 12 Pro I ordered yesterday was just delivered this morning. It's actually for my daughter so she will be excited. I am now thinking about also doing the deal for the Mini as you did. I will probably do it if I can find my old iPhone 5 that I have laying around somewhere.
