To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

They should start a septate thread for data discussion and leave this thread alone for A32 or iPhone-12 devices!!!
Yeah, many of suggested from the start that there should be a separate thread for the Simple Choicers, but we see how that played out.

Oh well, no big deal. Just another typical T-mobile mega-thread on SD. laugh out loud

Probably too soon to see actual billing changes for this promo since this deal is new. Usually takes a couple of bill cycles to play out. However, I don't see why this deal would be any different than others where an EIP device was paid off in order to do a new promo, and then bill credits switched to account level. I have done several similar deals in the past, as well as this new one, and it all has worked that way.
The only thing you left out is that you need to keep your phone to get the second promo credits.

So for me, I paid off my Samsung S20 FE and I traded in a 17 year old flip phone and I need to keep the Samsung S20 FE phone but I will also get the A32 and I should get both promo credits.

Called 611, rep couldn't do it on account level. Was there a way you did it?

Not sure I follow you. I was replying to someone who asked about trading in 11 on EIP for a 12. In that example, a person who owns an 11 on EIP can pay off the 11 in full, thus completing the EIP. That person then can do whatever one pleases with the 11 at that point. In this example, the person elects to trade it for the 12 using the same line. The 12 is now on EIP on that line per the new promo, and the 11 moves to account level bill credits. Rinse and repeat for the 12 if say a similar deal for the 13 pops up in a few months.

What are you trying to do exactly? See my post above this one to see if that applies to your situation, as that is how the process works.

Why don't you start a new discussion for A32 and iphone 12 and leave this to discuss. free unlimited upgrade? The focus of this discussion was actually for free unlimited upgrade from the beginning until April 18.

I may be misunderstanding the point you're trying to make but there's no notion of "you need to keep your phone". T-Mobile doesn't care what you do with the actual phone purchased on EIP; you don't even have to ever use on your account. They just care that the line that the EIP is assigned to is active in order for any promotional bill credits to continue.

Paying off your S20 FE allowed you to upgrade that same line to take advantage of the A32 promotion. You will continue getting your S20 credits (now moved to account level after you paid it off) as well as the new A32 credits. But there's no need to for you keep your physical S20 FE phone now or even before you paid it off. Similarly, you don't need to "keep" the new Galaxy A32 5G phone itself; you just need to keep that line active for 2 years to accrue all of its promotional credits.

From your posts, it's unclear what you're asking. If you just traded in an iPhone 11 for an iPhone 12, the promotional credits for the iPhone 12 on assigned to the line you upgraded. Are you asking how to move the iPhone 12 promotional credits to the account level? If yes, you do that by paying off the iPhone 12 balance that you owe but only after receiving at least one promotional bill credit for the iPhone 12, which hopefully appears on your next statement.

The your reference to "account level" is in some reference to any existing iPhone 11 promotional credits, you need to pay off your iPhone 11 EIP balance so any iPhone 11 promotional credits will move off of the line they are assigned to and will be account level. At that time, you can now upgrade the same line to the iPhone 12, trading in the iPhone 11. You'll continue receiving the iPhone 11 credits, now on the account level, and will start getting the new iPhone 12 promotional credits assigned to the line you just upgraded.

The rule is, first the credits will start at the line level. Then after 1 month (earliest) we can pay off the device so the credits will move to the account level.
Now, this promo has started 3 days ago, so how on Earth can anyone get these credits at the account level in just 3 days???
Line level credit shows under the EIP page right after a handset shipped, but it does not mean you will receive credits because of the pending trade-in. To be on safe side, it's advised to wait for the next billing cycle and check the statement to verify the bill credits applied. If it's not there, I wouldn't pay it off yet, otherwise I don't see any issues paying it off as soon as possible to move the bill credits to account level.

I have 11 pro 512 gb. I guess not worth paying off the $400 pay off amount on this and then another $200 for the mid storage size on the Iphone 12 with trade in.

I have XS paid off and the $415 trade in credit is only covers half the cost of Iphone 12 so not worth it here too?

Wanted to do EIP payoff for Iphone 11 that still has existing bill credits. I called 611 to try to do payoff and move the credits to account level, so that I can get the iphone 12 bill credits on the line level. However they refused to do so even on supervisor level.

Tmobile 611 refused to "move the bill credits to the account level" in order to accommodate iphone 12 trade in. How did you do this?

I went to the store to trade in my iPhone 11 since the charging port is questionable. For the deal done to learn that they simply give me a box and shipping label to send it in for evaluation. I guess we'll see what comes off it. I have little other option at this point

I think they confuse when you ask to move to account level. Do not need to say move to account level. It is still show as credit on that line but it will offset the account monhtly bill.

I just did the same deal as you are trying to do. Yesterday, I went on Twitter and chatted with a T-force rep. I told the rep I wanted to do the iPhone 12 upgrade deal by trading in my 11. I told the rep which line I wanted to use for the promo. The rep had me first pay off the EIP balance on my 11. The rep then had me select my preferred iPhone 12, pay the taxes on it, and then sign the new EIP documents digitally. I also asked for the assist fee, overnight shipping fee, and sim fee to be waived, and it was approved by the rep. That is it. The deal was done. There is nothing else to do or request. I will now wait for a billing cycle or two to see the changes take place on my account. The 11 will be moved to account level bill credits, and the 12 will show up as an active EIP on the line that my 11 currently occupied. There is no need for me to ask a rep at this point to make that happen. It will happen down the road. I hope this helps.
