Just received the A32 and for all those whining about this phone, Geez !
My iPhone-12 looks like a toy in front of this A32...LOL
I mean I know internal hardware will be way inferior to iPhone-12 but it's long slim body kinda puts iPhone-12 to shame !
Apple should feel shamed of selling such a boring form factor for 830 and above...lol

Imagine, if Samsung (which is also a rip off company when it comes to price) can sell this piece for 280 then why the F is Apple robbing us THAT much royally?...lmao

Tmobile rep told me to use MEID Dec in it
MEID will not work on the online system and may not work with t-mobile rep but it depends which rep you get I guess.
Quote from needgeech :
Check earlier in the thread for converters. If you have a 14 digit MEID DEC ( or I think if you just take the first 14 numbers of an 18 digit all number code). . .and enter it into the calculator. . .it will give you the correct needed 15th digit (maybe have to manually go through the guessing of the 15th digit by entering 0-9 one at a time, but not sure)

Haven't tested this one, but it was provided earlier in the thread:

https://www.imei.info/calc

Alternatively, if you have the first 14 digits, you can enter/guess towards the 15th digit one at a time (0-9) into the ting checker etc until it shows your phone model (max 10 tries this method).

Tforce should be able to do the "math" for you if you give them the MEID/model as well. All of the above just seems safer than just entering an incorrect/incompatible "IMEI" on order page.
This method will give you a compatible imei that you can put in the system. However, is it really the right IMEI for your phone? I did this method for my HTC touch pro 2 and then put the resulting number into the same website to check and the result was a Samsung stratosphere phone.

Will it really matter to t-mobile?? Probably not, but it does give them a way to deny the phone if they wanted to.

I just did the same deal as you are trying to do. Yesterday, I went on Twitter and chatted with a T-force rep. I told the rep I wanted to do the iPhone 12 upgrade deal by trading in my 11. I told the rep which line I wanted to use for the promo. The rep had me first pay off the EIP balance on my 11. The rep then had me select my preferred iPhone 12, pay the taxes on it, and then sign the new EIP documents digitally. I also asked for the assist fee, overnight shipping fee, and sim fee to be waived, and it was approved by the rep. That is it. The deal was done. There is nothing else to do or request. I will now wait for a billing cycle or two to see the changes take place on my account. The 11 will be moved to account level bill credits, and the 12 will show up as an active EIP on the line that my 11 currently occupied. There is no need for me to ask a rep at this point to make that happen. It will happen down the road. I hope this helps.
Thanks for info. Regarding payoff, how does that happen? You give the credit card# via Twitter, or the balance of payoff showed up in the next statement?

Can someone confirm if the phone purchased is unlocked?
If your account is in good standing, I have had success asking for an emergency unlock for traveling purposes.

My situation -- Have an iPhone XS that I'm not currently using but would like to take advantage of the 5G promo upgrade/trade in value. Current device on my account is a S21+ which is already 5G so it errors out on the order process when I put in the IMEI number of the iPhone as my trade/upgrade against the line. Assumption is because I'm trading in against the line that is already 5G.

Could I just swap my SIM into the iPhone, wait till it shows up as that phone in my account not having 5G and then go through with the upgrade? Will it then mess anything up with either my trade-in or receiving the monthly credits once I put the SIM back in the S21+?

I think I did a confusing enough job explaining that....
you can just chat with them to make an order with the iphone imei. ask for them to waive all the support charge and the shipping they will do it for you most likely.

Revisit this two years from now - when you plan to get a new phone and see what your A32 would be worth then compared to iPhone 12. Apple went back to its original SE / box design with the iPhone 12, but it became lighter / thinner (very slightly) compared to 11.

Once you put a case on it, what form factor are we going to be looking at? Have we now come down to judging a phone by its appearance? I saw A32 at the store while getting two new iPhone 12 for my account, and it's nowhere close.

FWIW, it's priced right (for free) with 2-year bill credits, but it would be worth the same as what is being traded in to get this phone now after two years. If Samsung is now going to name phones in alphabetical order, may be trade in A32 to get a C32 in 2023. ✌️

I have the same for the two iPhone 12 added last week. Account History shows this promo as "2021 Apple Activate P3". Last month's shows "2021 Apple Switch Trade P1" on the Account Device Promos section and Account History.

Bill cycle ended yesterday and should be getting the new bill in the next few days. I am expecting this to get updated soon.

Same feeling when I reviewed the A32 in store. It has decent internal specs, fluid, everything is good for daily use, only two negatives:
1, screen quality, acceptable but not great if you are used to Samoled or Oled.
2, camera, oh well, acceptable but not great if you are used to S series or iPhone.

Then again, it is $0 free, complain all you want, LOL

It looks like you answered your own question there.

Also, nobody's forcing you to buy iPhones, so I don't see how you're being robbed. It's well known that Apple chose not to get involved with selling low-priced cell phones.

Appearance is subjective and important.
1, Why else Apple touts its new design, albeit every 4 years, lol?
2, Some buy a new iPhone simply bcoz its new appearance with no regards to internal specs. A new blue coat? Wow gota have it.
3, Prefer iPhone 12/SE to iPhone 11/8/7/6? Meditate on this some must.
4, Notch vs raindrop, which one is ugly which is elegant?

And you are comparing iPhone ($800) with Galaxy A32 ($280)? Got it!

I carry both iPhone and Galaxy/Pixel/LG/Moto.

Most of time I just need a A32, eh, Chevy truck/SUV to get from point A to B. When I get on a race track (video recording or editing) I will drive iPhone, eh Ferrari.

Peace.

People buy Mercedes instead of Toyotas for the same reason. Never mind that the Mercedes (or BMW) will become a huge money pit over time, and the Toyota will go for 400K+ miles, while the Mercedes resale value will drop like a rock.

Even for the flagship S21 models compared to iPhone 12, Samsung depreciation % is double.
