I wouldn't worry about it. When I ordered on Sunday, that message was "April 23 - April 29th" and I just got a shipping notice today.

People, please stop arguing about iPhone vs Android phone in this thread. This is about the deal, if you want to do the deal, stick your comment on it, or maybe a quick review about the phone if you would like. However, don't make any unnecessary comparison. You are here because the deal is for you, if you don't like it and want to have a different phone, please move on. I don't want to scroll over all of these unuseful comments to find the information I want.

So I did the same thing as a few others and did an iPhone upgrade on the wrong line that already has an EIP. I contacted T-Mobile and was told it was too late to cancel, and that I should refuse delivery, and then redo the order on the correct line.

Instead of doing all of that, could I not just pay off the original phone balance and all would be good? And I would continue getting both credits for the old phone and new phone?

I have a phone which I used 10 years ago. If I trade it in, how can they tell it is working or not? it was perfect phone when I replace it. but for 10 years, not sure the battery will last anymore. it will be 0 value for sure. I just want to use it to get a32. how can they power it up?

Presumably yes [t-mobile.com].

How Recurring Device Credits (RDC) work
  • To receive Recurring Device Credits (RDC), you must purchase your device on EIP and meet any other requirements of the promotion.
  • You may have one Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo per line at a time. To get a new Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo and keep your current credit, you must pay off the existing EIP first.
  • If you pay off your EIP early, you'll continue to receive the promised Recurring Device Credits (RDC) as an account-level credit through the remaining months of the promotional credit period (up to 24 or 36 months)
.

Yes, pay off 1st EIP and it'll get placed on an account level and not screw up your new EIP

Look at the OP, not just the title. It refers to both. The OP changed the title for some reason to not include the iPhone aspect.

Blame the mods who changed it when it became FP. There were three different topics on this OP.

No matter how many times this issue with EIP has been answers. We will continue to see this questions for a long..long..times into the next T-Mobile deal.
Probably iPhone 13 or Samsung Note or may be another free line on us.
