I have a sony ericcson k750 and the battery water indicator is red.
Will they accept it as trade in?
Has to turn on and remove the unlock code requirement by doing factory reset. I forgot passwords on my old basic crappy phones , I was able to bypass the unlock by doing hard factory reset

So do I need to use this phone for 40 days, or do I just need to activate it and go back to my old phone.
Only need to activate it and do not take the SIM out so it always on Tmobile network for 40 days. I saw some youtube video that you can unlock Samsung by yourself by using an international SIM card, choose roaming network and call their SIM card provider free toll number for 5 min-ish (no need to talk) then it will be region unlocked (not sure if region same as carrier). The youtube mentioned about Indian SIM with the toll free number or Vidafone UK with their toll free number or Dubai SIM card with the toll free number. I have not tried it though since I do not have any of those SIM cards..

coliCall at night, get oversea rep, get them to backdate the change to base free limited data.Iit is not true now. The oversea rep did not know about free 5G All models promotion for A32 since nobody called at night to order it.

So your monthly bill will be very very low after all credits on these lines paid off EIP balance. What happened if the monthly bill become negative since all the credits added up might be more than the monthly bill? Example: monthly bill regularly without any credits is $120 but all the credits added up more than $120.

I'm on the same boat and decided not to trade it in and risk it. It's technically not a complete phone

Hey @xtrabad, not that I'm planning to do this but let's say I currently have 20 months of remaining credits for an iPhone 12 on a line and I pay it off. Then I get, let's say the A32 (this promo) on that line. If the credits for the iPhone 12 move to account level and I decide to port that line number out (or cancel it), I know I will lose the monthly credits for the A32 and have to pay out of pocket for it but do I also lose the credits for the iPhone 12, since they move to account level (assuming i have other lines and didn't cancel the account)? Just wondering

I figure the answer is yes, I will also lose the iPhone 12 credits or else users will do this to continue to get credits for the more expensive iPhone 12 and just get off the "contract" by paying for the cheaper A32 (1/3 of the price)
When you start involving multiple EIPs and then porting out lines, it becomes like an SAT question as to how to solve those equations. LOL.

I honestly don't know the answer, as that type of question is probably best directed to a T-Force expert who can state in writing how it will affect your account specifically in case things do not play out as expected. There are also some T-Mobile experts here and on Reddit that probably do know the answer.

My best guess, like yours, would be that porting out that line would result in the loss of all promotional credits, be it line or account level, that were associated with that line. But again, that is purely a guess. I would think that line would need to remain active and in good standing until all promotional credits are completed if one does not want to lose those remaining credits by altering one's account.

FYI

Was able to do the free phone deal through 611 chat. Waived service and shipping fee.
Will trade in an old flip phone that doesn't have IMEI so service rep put in a bunch of 1's. He said it should be no issue with credits back.

Many Costco are not doing this due to high demand and when there is no new line added they don't make anything. From a sellers view point totally make sense.

They were doing this initially but not anymore. Ymmv some might still do the deal
I went to my local Costco last Wednesday to trade in a 7 for a 12 Pro Max but the Wireless Advocate at first said they didn't have that promo. I told her it was a Direct Order, so she called someone and then proceeded to do it.
However, when she looked in the system there were none available for shipping. She said to come back on Friday. I went last night and they did have some available for shipping! 😊
So got it ordered, saved activation and shipping costs plus will get a $30 Shop Card. I'm happy.
I wanted to trade in a 3GS for a 12 mini but they didn't have any of those available for shipping. I will try again next week.
My 12 Pro Max is already showing up on my T-Mobile account. 😊

I got a text saying "a quote of $0 was accepted for your Alcatel AL0-Generic with serial number xxxx".. I called T-Mobile asking if the $0 quote means I will pay monthly but not get a credit to offset it. The rep assured me after taking a look, after 1 or 2 billing cycles after sending the trade-in, I will start getting credit. Is this true?

Or the fact that credit is $0 means exactly that and I should just cancel this ?
